This is a video analysis of the character Michael Scott from "The Office." Watch it to find out what his personality type is.
Do you love Michael Scott and his ways? Have you ever wondered what his personality type is? Well in this video, I give my reasons, explanations, and evidences of why I think he's the personality type that I typed him as.
This is the first time I'm doing a video like this, and I really enjoyed making it. My hope is that, if this one does well, I can keep making more like it, where I type various other characters in movies or shows.

jadedjimmy ESFP. I’m an enfp We value social harmony and and can read people when we’re being *interesting* and others aren’t feeling it. we like having friends but we often evaluate someone in advance if they’re going to be a friend for the long run, we don’t just try to make everyone single person our buddy. Truly if someone says they don’t like me it puzzles me but in the long run I don’t care because they didn’t have an impact on my life we’re I was attached to them in the first place, so eventually I don’t care 😭😂. It’s a me thing but I think a lot of ENFPs can feel this. And we’re very content with who we are already close to. We’re open but we can get super comfortable with what we’re doing and who we’re with. We’re kind of openly selective. We love deep well meaning conversations and don’t care to be anyone’s boss. There’s so many other things lol. Yes he’s silly and creative and thoughtful but I think that’s the only similarities. People tend to confused enfp and esfps. But I’ve spent time with an ESFP and I realized that our thought processes are waaaaaaay off

Michael is ESFP. 1. He’s constantly scanning his environment for openings to interact with it- indicator of Se. 2. ENFPs are masters at making connections through Ne, but sensors struggle with that. Michael sometimes try to piece together what someone is implying, but never can; he needs his connections made for him. 3. In contrast, Ni can make the user catastrophize things when trying to make connection. I.e. when Pam said she has to always stop a Michael train of thought “before it derails and destroys the whole town.” | Michael is ESFP enneagram type 7 while Andy is ESFP enneagram type 2.

ENFP here and his 3:28 speech IS me...it's both the best thing ever to get all people to like me and Not care if they don't like me! Yet it's also the worst because I sorta go bonkers thinking "what did I do wrong?" if they didn't like me (and how to work on that for next time!). Also, people/strangers don't actually have to LIKE me... I just have to get a Genuine smile from them before I leave their space. Thats It, thats the goal. Laughter from them is the cherry on top. But, I aim for smiles. (That sounds like some sort of corny business motto but life needs more smiles.)

Through the entire show, everything starts eluding to Michael actually knowing how he impacts other people and knowing exactly just how to play things out for the desired results. He isn't shortcoming, he's far more intelligent than his coworkers know. At some point, you have to wonder how every miscalculation ended up a success for Michael, or if it's even a miscalculation on his part at all in almost all of his plans that involve him doing something stupid.

This is great, Michael is definitely the quintessential example of an ENFP in my mind. Parks and Recreation has a lot of perfect representatives as well, of different types. (Leslie is very ENFJ)

I always saw Michael Scott as an ESFP. The ENFPs that I have known are a little bit more rooted in reality more than the ESFPs I've known. The ESFPs I have known seem to create their own reality and ways they think people see them. Michael loved that stupid car to death! I have an ESFP friend who loves his car the same way. It is not in style, completely impractical and uncomfortable. No one likes it but he thinks it is hot stuff and will make him look younger when he drives it! Reminds me so much of M. Scott. I have found with these shows they tend to blend two similar personality types together to show extremes in a character.

Enfp here and I love Michael so much! But I think one point has to be mentioned. In my opinion Michael is more of a stereotypical enfp, since it's a show and some senses have to be heightened a little for it to be funny. But overall Micheal is my favorite character in the series😂

He is an ESFP. He has that classic ESFP 'I need everyone to like me and think I'm awesome, but I can't tell if they actually do.' Also, one of the big difference between ESFPs and ENFPs, is that ESFPs will often avoid things they like, because they think others will perceive it as nerdy or uncool. ENFPs don't give a shit if something is nerdy or uncool. They can get excited and interested in almost anything.

Dwight is a prime example of an unhealthy INTJ in something called an 'Ni-Fi loop'. They're prone to conspiracy theories, and tend to run with things they have a strong emotional reaction to, without checking facts like a healthier INTJ.

@@jenniferanne8338 Some people think Toby is an INFJ. Personally, I'm not sure, I can't tell if he's more S or N, or even J for that matter. A lot of people type David Wallace as an INTJ but he's the one character I would say seems most INFJ to me. To quote someone else's analysis refuting INTJ, "David shows a pattern of being unable to enforce boundaries, rules, and consequences. His employees take adventure of his forgiving nature - Jan, Ryan, Michael, Andy, and Dwight are all examples of this. He has a deep level of compassion and understanding and is obviously intelligent to some degree, but has trouble executing in a way I don't think a mature INTJ deep in his career would."
