I got my reissue Bumblebee early in the release and mine has the g1 spare tire sticker on the back of his head instead of the rub sign. I didn't know there was a rub sign version! Regardless, great video and I can't wait for next week's video. As always, thank you for your part in keeping my inner child alive. Nerdmastee, Mr Mercy.

So weird, my Bee from Walmart has the original spare tire looking sticker on the head flap and his autobot symbol is a sticker. Also, what portion of your collection would you guess is original from your childhood and how much have you acquired later in life?

Excellent review Micheal showing the difference between the classic, and the re-release. Also I really liked the back ground music for this video. You can notice the difference in color between the two on camera. The original is a more brighter yellow than the re-release. I almost bought that bumble bee release at my local Walmart, but I didn't like the changes they made. They put out a release of Cliff Jumper, and Bumble Bee back about ten years ago. They are identical to their 80's counter parts except they are key chains. So they have an added loop on their right shoulders for the chain to attach two. They popped up at my local comic book store one day so I bought them both. Also they were only about 6 bucks each. I never had many Transformers growing up, because they always had a high price point. Compared to other toys like Masters Of The Universe, and GI-Joe. I had Jazz, Soundwave, Cliff Jumper, Bone Crusher, and that's it I think. I had to fill the ranks with Go-Bots. LOL

Awesome video as always, Michael! These silly G1 minibots were (and still are) magical. The fact that the writers turned affordable, accessible toys into full-fledged heroes (and villains) on the show was pure genius. This little figure was THE Bumblebee. There wasn’t a $30 version that we wished we had. Owning this guy meant that you had something important and special in your collection. By the way, I’m pretty sure the detail sticker on the back of the G1 figure’s head panel is supposed to represent the cooling fan from a hopped up version of a VW Beetle. Those aircooled engines have a fan in that exact location. Cliffjumper and Bumblejumper have a different decal back. Their alt modes are front-engine water cooled cars so that could be the explanation. I believe that Hubcap only had the rub symbol.

Great review (and very excited for the G1 1985 vid😁)!!! I managed to find Bee and Gears when I was in Florida a couple months back. I really like the new face. Feels like the way it should have been that way to begin with.

Man, this version of Bumblebee just looks...RIGHT, you know what I mean? He's combining the best of both worlds in terms of the old G1 toy and cartoon/comic looks - makes me really wish that they also sold these reissues in the Walmart-owned UK chain of stores, Asda, to boot, but you can't have everything I guess...!!! I said a lot about my enduring affection for G1 Bumblebee in your two previous videos on the little guy, so it's probably best that I don't go over it all again here (except perhaps to recommend his definitive Marvel UK comics story, tfwiki.net/wiki/Crisis_of_Command!, to you all once more); but if its not too much trouble, I would like to quickly ask your opinion of the various Masterpiece versions of G1 Bumblebee, please? (I was sorely tempted to buy one when I last visited my nearest Toys 'R' Us in Swansea a year or so before the store closed, but it was just too expensive for my budget at the time, yes?). PS: So you were finally able to get the Dinobots to co-operate enough to finish your Transformers: 1985 video, eh...?! That's truly fantastic news - I can't wait, yes? PPS: I hope you don't mind me asking, but is there any chance of your doing some more Ghostbusters videos at some point soon, please? After all, while I really loved your earlier review of the 1987 Firehouse HQ, there's recently been a whole lot of of new Ghostbusters-related stuff out there - including the Diamond Select Real Ghostbusters deluxe figures, for example, and/or the new Transformers/Ghostbusters crossover toy, Ectotron - that I think would really benefit from the patented Michael Mercy touch, yes? in any case, thank you again for your time, and a hearty Nerdmaste all round!!!

It would be cool if they would do the red version of Bumblebee as well. Like they did in 1984. I have heard of a blue version too. But it would be great to have a red reissue for collectors too.
