Months after announcing his retirement from touring, Mick Mars has filed a lawsuit against his Motley Crue bandmates, claiming that they've been trying to kick him out and 'gaslighting' him. When Motley started Nikki didn't know anything about music , and couldn't even play in time . Nikki relied on him ! not the other way around . Without Mick all Nikki would of had was some crude lyrics he wrote and no way of putting any music to them .

Mick deserves his 25%. He was the heart and soul of the band. If it wasn't for Mick's tone and aggressive guitar style Motley wouldn't have been as NEARLY as successful as they became. The fact that Vince can't sing a whole phrase of lyrics, yet the band says that Mick wasn't up to snuff during live performances is a crock. Not mention, else than Nikki, Mick stuck around regardless of line-up changes and changes in popularity for the group.

I love the imperfections that happens during live play, if any, but I'll tell you this, you can see that nikki isn't playing that base. It doesn't take an actual player to be able to tell the difference. He's off rhythm and he just doesn't play it at all at times when the base is actually playing.

Not only is he incredibly talented (and underrated) but he was loyal to the band throughout all of his years playing with them. He deserves much better than this. It's heartbreaking that they would even think about continuing without him - retiring or not.

Jeez, this is interesting because he is wanting money from live shows that he will not be performing in. Crüe offered him 5% for the next year on which sounds like John 5 might get the other 20% and then after that year is up he gets nothing from live performances. To me that sounds fair but what I don't like is them kicking him out of the band as a whole so they can try to get away with not paying him shit for all other incomes. Signing that agreement in 2008 was bad on Mick's part because that agreement seemed to be targeted directly towards him. I would've never agreed to sign that.

Bands from the 80s should take example of how Def Leppard had stayed together…with…the exception of founding member Pete Willis being kick out from the band due to he wasn’t a functional alcoholic like rest of the band…since…then on they have been a band through car accident, death (RiP Steve Clark gone at age 30), cancer, and Bell’s Palsy. Let me state also Pete Willis was still given share on his part on Pyromania and inducted Pete in the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame. Def Leppard comes out as music and fans first before their ultra egos. I don’t know where you’ve guys been, maybe your not that old, but they’ve been trying to get rid of Mick since 84/85 Theater of Pain era. When shredding was the craze. I believe Bob Daisley (Ozzy) saved his job then. They tried to hire Jake E Lee several times in those days. At the end of the day it’s Nikki’s band. Whether you like Nikki or not, I think he’s done pretty good by Mick by keeping him around. Nikki didn’t have to keep him on payroll without touring. Would you? (Pff) That was loyalty. I like Motley's music not their shows. I saw them in like 2004 or 2005 and it was horrible back then. I was less of a fan in the 80's so I never went but my brother did and when I told him how bad the 2005 show was his comment was they were not all that great live in 1985. Some singers and bands are just better on studio recordings. I will agree that Mars was the most talented musician in Crue. However, unless I am missing something here, why would he be entitled to 25% or even 5% of touring revenue when he is not out touring? I get pay from song royalties, and merchandise with his image but if he can't or won't perform on a tour I fail to see why he is entitled to any money from the tour. He stated that he would still be available for future music (song writing) but lets face it Motley hasn't put out any new music in over a decade and to be honest fans really only want to hear classic material. Which is why bands from that era are out touring playing classic stuff and that is how they are making money now days. I am sure that Izzy Stradlin gets song writing royalties from Guns and Roses but I highly doubt he gets a cut from G&R Tour 2023 profits???

I paid money to see Motley Cure’s final tour back in 2017. Maybe it was 16. It’s been so long I forget. The Stadium Tour should have been free if you paid money to see them for the final time years prior. Stadium Tour was okay.
