In the late 60s I swam in the hot springs. Brilliant. I believe they are fenced off now.

You've been reminding me of my trips around Turkey, Mick. Thank you. I think it was 2007 when I was here in Pamukkale, and you were right, some tourists just marvel at the lovely travertines without exploring the amazing ancient Hierapolis on top of it. The necropolis, well preserved roman ampitheater, the nymphaeum, church of St. Philip, and other marvelous monumental and archeological remains. So much to see in this beautiful town. Binge-watching your videos since yesterday, great presentation, wish you more subscribers, kind of different from others. Keep posting please.

Amazing place! The travertines were flooded when I visited, although fortunately tourists were restricted to one small area. And Heirapolis was well worth a visit - as is the whole area.
