Have you ever tried TENKARA fishing? It's really more suitable to your style of fishing.

@@michaelvines805 With some smaller rods, yes. At times though, it's more work to set everything up. This way I already have most things rigged and ready to go.

Question? Do you use a line as thin and micro as the line that comes on the Tanago hooks? And if so where can I get some? Or is there a really fine line you recommend? Reason I ask is that I have some of those SHTF telescopic micro rods and would like to rig one up for micro fishing.

I usually use 6 pound test on my miscellaneous ultralight reels and tie the micro leader that comes with the hooks directly to that. If you want a real thin line, check out some JDM stuff. There are a bunch of options available at only one pound. Don't think you'll find that in the US. You might even be able to find some lines lighter than that.
