"What Microsoft should do..." Hire Malewicz as the Microsoft Designer director/supervisor, and they will take over the industry. And probably we won't sibk in a sea of mediocre content😅 Insightful & entertaining video as always, thank you!

Hi Michal, you have cleared my confusion regarding this, since when the super fancy Microsoft designer intro video was circulating, it felt like there is something very interesting about to come, and right now it doesn't seem useful more than the Canva I would say. It can help those white-collar corporate marketers at some point to quickly generate ugly designs. Now I am wondering about Microsoft's associate behind this might be unfollowing you on the Twitter 😜

I am going to look into Canva this month too :)

Is there any way to remove the overlay in the lower right hand corner "Created with Designer" ?
@ctrinity Жыл бұрын
I've played today with it and It's basically a lighter version of Canva but with better generative engine. It made me think what a step this is from Microsoft's FrontPage2002, which back then I use to love and pick above the chic and stylish Dreamweaver.

Thanks for another great video! I was curious if you’ve checked out Canva’s recent AI-related updates and what your thoughts are on those? I feel like they’re already so much further along this path than Microsoft.

I am currently testing canva on multiple levels and there is a video coming on that too :)
@michaelroth933 Жыл бұрын
Phew, I'm glad about that. I work (also) as a designer myself and thought I was too stupid to use the tool. But I guess it's just really bad 😅😅😅

It does have some good parts (mainly the generative AI artwork - almost as good as Midjourney's)

I'm still waiting for access to this program from Microsoft and I've been waiting and waiting for a month :D We'll see what canva will surprise us with because something feels like the calm before the storm ;)

I am testing canva soon too :)

I think Ai design tools would slowly rich the mid level visual design, since it has lots of rules which can be trained in AI. But I agree that it would mean creative work would be appreciated more.

They may get better regarding some design principles for sure but then human creativity comes into the mix :)

Dude, this is the exact thing I was recently talking to a mate. This crap MS Designer is the bloody new Powerpoint - bloated with useless functions and features when it's supposed to to one single job. Trust me, corporate people will use this to wireframe apps and websites. I hated Canva and Powerpoint, but now there's a new enemy, an even worse one. I curse the day when some marketing lad will send me an idea for a design. That's the stupidity, the name: Microsoft Designer? Really! Now everybody will believe they can do $hite and present it as a cake. Bloody hell!
@MalewiczHype Жыл бұрын
Yup, it's hilariously bad but those corporate people won't know it - we will have A LOT of new "content" online now ;) But I believe they'll mostly use it (with chat gpt for the copy) for inspiring corporate linkedin posts ;)

@@MalewiczHype I know, and I'm somehow afraid of them retorting: "ChatGPT recommended that, so it's true and correct and perfect...". It will be crazy to argue or advocate a design idea. Let's just hope it won't become a thing and they are not seeing these comments :)))

I would've been extremely surprised if they come up with something that "breaks the Internet". Microsoft has been lacking innovation, usability, and UX for many, many years. Their products suck.
@MalewiczHype Жыл бұрын
Oh MS actually does innovate quite heavily in some areas, and breaking the internet is likely going to happen with a huge amount of badly designed content being pushed out there ;)
