LOL, welcome to the club, "Corporations man"! You just unlocked the secret of the whole consumerist machine - it's all designed to make you want stuff you don't need and keep that money flowing up to the top. 💵 But hey, at least you're aware of it now! That's the first step to breaking free from the cycle, right? 💪🏼 Just resist the urge to go out and buy a new gadget or trendy outfit every time you see it on your screen.

@angryowlet153 Жыл бұрын
Please make an effort to be cognizant of that bias and ignore it. Concerns for data privacy (which affects everyone) aside, LinkedIn can be a personal safety threat as it tells a stalker or spiteful ex where you work. If you lie about the name of your employer or say it's confidential, recruiters/interviewers will reject you at best or blackball you at worst.

Not even a minute into the video and you're already comparing members with monthly active users. Members are just people who have created an account on the platform, monthly active users are the amount of people who log into the platform and use it every month. You can't compare the two with eachother. KZbin probably has enough "members" to fill our planet 2 times over while LinkedIn has about one billion. If you compare monthly active users then KZbin has about 8.7 times more active users than LinkedIn (2.7b vs 310m). Also never ever in my entire life have I heard anyone call LinkedIn a "socialmedia" platform, even if it's intended to be one, it's mainly used by businesses to check out potential employees as far as I'm aware. You're comparing a business platform with entertainment platforms, two completly different worlds yet you make it seem like they compete with eachother. Not so logical, eh?

Linked is interesting in it has its own ecosystem, no one hits mainstream news off a LinkedIn post lol, but there is social currency within the ecosystem. I think it’s a similar principle that H&M made 198 billion last year while Gucci made 18 (according to Bard). But watching this I think that brand value is also a factor and auxiliary value, like as a corporate employee having a solid LinkedIn profile will help your career. But as a person of influence other platforms will give you what LinkedIn cannot. Flexing about LinkedIn virality outside of LinkedIn is just not as sexy.
