I think we're getting into the groove of things so it feels a lot like "ah another week" instead of the new show jitters. Along with this, Final Bosman definitely had a rep of industry insight and this episode was a great display of that. Hope to see more like it in the future

That WaPo quote is so grimy. Basically - Nintendo, Sony and Valve - not scary because they can't outspend Microsoft. Amazon, Facebook, Google - scary because they can match/outspend Microsoft. Microsoft simply are trying to consolidate the space as much as possible before these scary players start doing the same. So they are clearly positioned as leaders in the oligopoly to come. Everything else is just a PR spin of them "saving" gaming from these other big bad tech companies, which don't have a "long history in video games" and who would presumably "damage gaming in the long run". Like, them - the original big bad tech, buying up two AAA publishers isn't damaging to gaming at all.

But that’s not something the average person thinks about Microsoft fondly for. (Plus in the OS race, Windows is small/average compared to android and iOS.) The average person also doesn’t think of google for their phone, but it is synonymous with search. And all of these companies main business is server farms.
