What liquid are you using on the adhesive - Isopropyl Alcohol? Acetone?

I follow everything closely, and I inserted the new battery and start to tighten up the mainboard. And then smoke comes out from the connector of the battery and then I need to pull it off immediately. Is it the battery problem? Or is the battery not properly inserted so a short circuit occurred? Not sure if I should try again now...

If you have a new battery try with that because only 1%chance to comes battery problem remove the motherboard outside and check the battery voltage if it’s perfect then something wrong with the motherboard

I also looked at the video(s) carefully many time. I decided to call it off when shopping for battery where some feedback like no charge or last only one hour. Priced out on laptop repair shop and would rather pay $200 which has one year back up warranty.

I've removed the battery, but it doesn't turn on ... :( does it come from the motherboard you think ?

@@dannyrodriguez2026 I change : wifi, motherboard, battery, screen ... and it bring it back to life. But i've got a vibrating screen now -_-
