Yeah, don't forget about the critical striking damage on shadowflame. Honestly the most powerful reason to run it on someone like katarina, it's a nasty combo. I feel like cryptbloom might be good on her, the extra heal is actually pretty big, although I do think it would generally be a later item.

Unlike mejais stormsurge is both good when snowballing and when even as it's got on par stats. Making it harder to proc (higher % health) might be the correct way to balance it, since damage tweaks will make it either unusable or op

Doesn't solve the core issue with it. If champs are using it to 1-shot, doesn't matter if it's 10% 30% or 60% in 2s. It simply does too much damage for a passive item effect that is also huge AOE. Compare it to old Night Harvester proc and it's obvious how the effect is problematic. "damage tweaks will make it unusable or op" Untrue, because the passive is multi-faceted. It's a huge AOE and it provides MS to the caster. That's a lot of utility outside of strict damage. If you tune the damage to be lower than other damage-oriented single target procs, the appeal of having additional AOE and MS is still there.

adc doing work in solo que? That's a bold statment lmao. They have been complete garbage since season 8. You have to play perfect and have a God tier support and you might get a few autos off in a fight before XYZ champ jumps, dashes, shifts, or walks through walls over half the map to CC you for 3sec, misses 2 of 4 abilites, and still two shots you in 0.75 sec. All while healing 75% of their hp bars or getting an overshield for half their HP just for looking at you lol.

the fun thing about katarina is no matter how well you lane against her she will go into a side lane and WILL get kills. Then at that point it’s not about how you play against her it’s completely dependent on the katarina player not fucking up (AKA button mashing)

@@AhmadHossam thats the neat part, u wont. thats why knowing what each runes to go is useful. pref going d.shield every match since d.blade gives lifesteal now instead of omnivamp which seems useless in early, long sword sucks as well since it doesnt build into anything. proly going d. shield is ur only option no matter the runes and matchup. for roaming, u dont roam as much cuz ur gonna miss a lot of xp if u roam wrongly. pref just ignore and ping when enemy roams while u collect the wave and stay in xp as ur opponent. when u get ur core items theres no way youll lose in a teamfight anyways unless they all build tank and full mr lol

as a Kat main, i have to disagree with Protobelt on Kat, the only reason we ran it before was because it had flat pen on it, the only other option was Ludens which we did experiment with for a little bit, but we almost never had to utilize the active since Kat on her own is super mobile given the Kat player micro manages her E resets, Protobelt is storng yes, but not on Kat, there's so many more useful items for her that you almost never go protobelt except for very neice situations such as simply procing a spell shield before team fights. sure it gives HP for more survivability, but why not just build more pure damage? won't need survivability if you just kill the enemy!
