A while back I was at a party with my friends and some people. I was having a bad time, one guy was super annoying and was constantly making fun of me for no reason, A girl I liked was there and I knew she liked me back because she told our mutual friends, but because of my introverted anxious nature I never made a move, so she was there with another guy. I was just feeling so disconnected from everyone. I always had been and introverted loner suffering from social anxiety but that night was the absolute worst. I finally managed to convince everyone that I'm tired and I need to go to bed. So I went to bed in the next room, put on my headphones and listened to Lonerism all the way through. I was one of the most emotional experiences of my life. As I was listening to Kevin's tale of being a loner and feeling disconnected with the world outside I was also sinking deeper and deeper into myself. Between every song I could still hear my friends talking and laughing in the living room, And I felt so distant from them. They sounded exactly like the sounds of those people on Keep on Lying. It was at that point where I just realized Lonerism is my favorite album of all time. Lonerism is the album that perfectly describes my emotions in my early 20s and even now to some great extent. Kevin manages to capture those feelings of anxiety, melancholy, rejection and loneliness with some of the most beautiful and blissful sounding songs ever created. I always tell people of they want to know my personality they should just listen to Lonerism. Then they'll understand.

My english was not pretty great at the time when i discover Lonerism back during high school day. But every song especially Keep On Lying really make me intimidated, it's have the same vibe when you don't have any friends to talk to during a party. I'm a introvert guy back in the day not because i'm shy, because there's no one to talk to, no one understands me and i'm not understand them. This album really capture that vibe even though i'm not grasping or properly understand the lyrics at that time. What a masterpiece

It was Elephant and I literally assumed that it was a John Lennon deep cut that I had never heard and all I could make out was the word elephant because I was driving, so when I got home I literally googled "John Lennon elephant song". And that's the story of how I got into what I consider to probably be my favorite band! There are so many incredible songs on Inner speaker, I love the rock & roll vibe that a lot of this album has.
