999 to 1000 was a bigger step than 1999 to 2000. Why? they had to add a digit! So: ain't gonna be a bigger step till 9999 turns into 10 000. Will there still be bardcore then? Yes. Will the Final Countdown still be played? Yes. Bardcore Final Countdown? We can only hope! By then all the pre-FTL times will probably be thought of as a single period anyway.

Some things don't change but others do. In medieval Europe, it was outrageous to play tritones (musical intervals composed of three adjacent whole tones). The dissonant sounds it produced were deemed "dangerous" and the tritone was called the "diabolus in musica".

@@DGneoseeker1 Licherallly a Medieval Boomer. in all honesty though, you have to realize that music evolved over time, with instruments changing slowly over time. In addition, one of the reasons the lute was abandoned over time in the favor of the guitar or the violin is because due to it's solid construction, it had a rather small volume of a sound.

Fun fact: this song was inspired by the 1980 movie Final Countdown, in which an American nuclear-powered aircraft carrier accidentally travels back in time, to the eve of the Pearl Harbor attack in WW2... or was it medieval Europe? I don't remember.

I must say, this latest collection of Traveling Minstrels really do have a unique sound I would not be surprised if someday we see them within the court entertaining the King 👑

I think something from Evanescence like 'Bring Me To Life', or 'Lithium' would be great in Medieval Music! Some songs from Nickelback also.
