They misunderstood the idea of her saying "red" at the end of the movie. She wasn't supposed to say it at the elevator, she was supposed to say it in the room so that Christian would stop hitting her, and he was supposed to keep on going because he couldn't control himself. After that she would leave him because he betrayed her trust and not because she didn't like the idea of what they were doing. It would have made the movie better, but the author pitched a bitchfit over it.

You guys honestly don't know how accurate the Twilight jokes were. No fucking joke here guys, Fifty Shades of Grey was originally a fucking Twilight AU fanfic (in other words, all the characters in Fifty Shades are human versions of the vampires from Twilight) with Bella and Edward being Christian and who-fucking-cares-Mary-Sue-protag. Not even joking, my best friend has PDF files of the damn thing. Of course the original isn't available on FF.net anymore- after all, can't have leaks of the next big fucking hit on the internet, jfc.
