Passing the N2 doesn't mean you can speak japanese well. N2 doesn't test speaking or writing ability. It's just listening + reading.
@aminatasankoh34344 жыл бұрын
Ash that’s not true when going to colleges in Japan your JLPT test are mostly for speaking, listening, and writing. That way if you have a teacher in Japan, you can 1) reply and ask questions, 2) understand lessons in class, and 3) you have legible handwriting that way should the need arise, your writing will be easy to read.

Congratulations! This video is so inspiring to me because in my country going to 大学 is like the only option after graduating from high school. You showed me that there are so many ways to live and don’t need to rush. I’m going to studying a English-taught course at a university in Japan in April and I’m so nervous! I choose that school because I want to go to Japan but I don’t speak Japanese yet and it’s one of the top two uni in Japan. And because English-taught majors are limited so I’m not going to study the major I want the most(related though), but considering all the pros and cons I do not regret my decision. I’ll work hard and hope to study the major I want in 大学院
@shaleemichelle5 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity, do you mind stating which university it was? Totally understandable if you don't! I'm just wondering because I've been looking into possibly going that route in the future as well, and I'm finding it difficult to find universities to consider, and consensus regarding reputation. I keep hearing that getting a degree in Japan isn't as great or held in as high of a regard, comparative to schools in the US/UK/AUS/CAN/etc. Which is stressful because universities in these countries are SO expensive, I'd rather not go hundreds of thousands in debt for a degree. Japan's tuition costs are so much more reasonable, with the added benefit of immersing yourself in their culture. I'm so torn about what I want to do, haha. Sorry for such a long rant!
@睡睡-d7l5 жыл бұрын
Shalee Michelle Haha is okay, sorry I don’t want to say the name of the school, but I want to share with you my process of application. First I go to the school’s website which I heard had a good reputation, and see if there’s a English program, and if there are what majors are they. Most school have there website in English, but most time the English version is less informative than Japanese version so it might be a bit hard to find what you need(I’m Chinese so I can understand a large part of written Japanese because they use Chinese characters in Japanese) And about the school, the top two in Japan rank about 12th and 28th in worldwide universities rank, and I think the top 10 universities all have a good reputation in Japan, but most foreigners only heard of Tokyo university though, may not even heard of Kyoto University(second best) although it has more noble prize winners. I understand what you said about the money, the public universities is not expensive, and may offer a lot of scholarships to foreigners. But private schools are very expensive and although famous I heard that their reputation in Japan is not has good. When you find the school you want to go, just follow the application process on their website, it’s clearly written. I hope this can help you a bit😊
@shaleemichelle5 жыл бұрын
@@睡睡-d7l Totally understandable about not wanting to say the name of the school, no worries! Safety and privacy comes first and foremost. However, I do appreciate you sharing the process with me! I'm from the states so I don't understand Japanese or Kanji whatsoever, but I do plan on attending a language school for 1-2 years first and foremost, so I have a long time to consider and research universities. I just feel like there's no such thing as being too prepared or well researched, if that makes sense? But hopefully once I'm more proficient in the language, I'll have better luck finding information. Thank you again for the help, I really appreciate it!

Aaah congrats!!! The part about not thinking too much about the future is so relatable omg. I'm applying to Japanese Studies at my local university at the moment. It's only a year or so ago I found out that that was the one thing I actually wanted to study, compared to most other things. But to the society I live in and even to my fellow stressed youths, what seems to be important and talked about a lot is what someone will use their education for. "What sort of job can you use that for? How much can you earn with that?" etc. Even when deciding what sort of high school to go to, it's something I've never really wanted to think too much about, because I feel that all that does is give me unnecessary stress and anxiety. I'm still nervous about the future and potential failures/consequences, of course, but I don't want to choose my education based on a "planned future", that most likely won't end up as I anticipate it to, anyway. I just want to LEARN stuff for the sake of it and I don't want to let other people's worries get to me. That being said, you really inspire me to consider something like fashion school. If I get into my desired course, I'm hoping it will help me find my next path, just like you've found fashion school
@jiliciar.142324 күн бұрын
😊 Hi everyone. Vina's videos especially these fashion college videos and her fashion brand videos has really inspired me. I recently found "the thing" I wanna do with my life, it's not fashion designing, it's veterinarian, but I'm still inspired and will be working towards getting to take a 2yr veterinary course at a university in my country. I am sharing this to inspire anyone else that wants to go to college/university and to anyone that struggle to find "the thing" they want to do with in their life.
@jiliciar.142324 күн бұрын
I guess I should share how I discovered "the thing" I want to do. I walked to the veterinary clinic I mostly go to for my cats to drop in my resume to apply as a veterinary assistant. When I went I was told about the vet course that I can take to help me gain more knowledge about working with the animals and the medicine they use. From there I got that spark inside of me on "that's it, that's the thing I want to do". By the way my resume was taken in, I was told they'll accept anyone to be a vet assistant if they either did the course that I was told about or if they are willing enough, however before they used to only take you if you've done the course and nothing less than that, so I'm very thankful for my timing. Edit: My dream is to have my own cat shelter.

I’m curious, what do ppl say about your accent when speaking Japanese? Can they tell where you’re from? Is there one language to learn that will work throughout the entire country? You’ve made a good plan. Ppl will always need healthcare aaaannnd fashion! (Not joking) Fashion is always looking for the next big thing and has several sub sets so it will not become monotonous. Food for thought-consider “Do’s and Dont’s” to name your brand with 2 subcategories. Subcategory Do’s for conservative and sub category Dont’s for club wear. My kids haven’t gone into fashion, they’ve chosen science and business, so I bequeath my idea to you. Congrats on another milestone 👩🏫

I am so proud of you. I have been watching your videos for years and the change you’ve gone trough is incredible. You are such an incredible and sweet person! Please do not ever doubt yourself, you are amazing. What you have achieved is amazing. I’m sorry that this is so long, I’m just sooooo proud of you. You know, you have helped me get up and actively try to be the person I want to be. I have been struggling with anxiety and depression for years which causes me to have no determination amongst other things. You have helped me accept myself and realise that I am able to do *something* , *anything* if I really set my mind on it. Long story short, I am extremely great-full for you. Thanks for being you. ❤️
