The scene where Archie slides the door and stares at Mike studying and how his expression changes and then he slams the door has to be one of the funniest scenes in the entire series! Pure comedic genius! And not one word spoken either. All done with props and expressions.

I know!! As a kid this went over my head - the topic at age eight :P!!! but my parents let us watch AITF because that is how it was then and it was familiar! LOVE it! That scene IS SO HYSTERICALLY FUNNY, I didn't know when I was little WHY Archie was staring at him like that, but I found it so FUNNY- now at 59 think it is SUPER FUNNY !!! :P!!!!! LOVE Archie! Kim & Larry!
@retroguy949411 ай бұрын
@@larrywakeman4371 That's the way it was for ME too. I'll be 59 in a couple months and my family always watched AITF. When I was 8, I just thought Archie was funny and I did understand some of the references on the show, but not this one. How could I when I hadn't even gone though puberty yet? But having had the same thing happen to ME in the past during really stressful times, now I find it totally hysterical. Especially now that 50 years later we men know much more about the effects that stress can have on the body and are more open to talking with our doctors about it and being reassured of it's being temporary.

This is absolutely hands down, the very best family sitcom that has ever been made or ever will be. And I say that because both the show and the way of life then were set in a world we can perhaps never get back to again, as if it were preserved in a time capsule. And I was there and I lived through those times, very precious indeed.
