It’s a shame this video only has 20k views .. so much knowledge from the elder titan being dropped .. the reason I love this guy is cause he’s been there done that 10000x already when I’m barley on my 1x trip half way there being a young 23 so its wise to listen to the veteran .. I can listen to these guys for hours , true icon . It’s a whole other vibe over here 👈

I could hear Mike talk for hours, just gives off an old school vibe which is what we youngsters need. Also i cant wait to meet a woman that'll look at me the way Heath Evans was looking at Mike in this video lol.

Agreed- Bone density is important, because as we age, our bones become spongy, making them brittle, meaning easily break.

I love the fact that Heath is a GOAT in my eyes, but he still has the humility and willingness to listen with such focus. Love learning from these gentlemen.

I always said it was best to make a small dietary change and wait until that stopped having an effect, then make another small one, and so on and soforth. Its great to hear you have the same philosophy. Keep the great content coming Mike, you're a goddamn inspiration!

Amazing advice. Going to balls to the wall and to extremes is attractive but isn't the best way to stay consistent. Small incremental improvements is the key. I love it ☺️

Cardio serves more of a purpose than just burning calories. Real cardio will give you energy for the day, speed up your recovery after workouts, recovery between sets and improve your mental health just to name a few. Cardio is very underrated IMO. Still appreciate your advice though Mike.
@dangosh33404 жыл бұрын
Referring to the fasting at night as opposed to in the morning. My question is, if you are lifting don’t you want some food closer to the evening since when you sleep you recover the most. If you cut off you food source so early will it affect your recovery?

I did IF for a couple years. I found it easy to keep fasting after waking up bcz I had to be at work by 6am and working by 6:30 carrying wood pallets for 10 hours from 1-3 at a time. So I didn’t eat bcz it slowed me down. So I’d pull in about 3 good meals in a 3-4 hour window. Yeah my fast could last up to 20 hours. I also trained after work for about 40 minutes. I maintained 190 lbs @ 5’10 during that period strength was good 250 bench squat row deadlift a bit more. So I was pushing it w/o overtraining which I bcz some days are harder than others and I was consistent over the years haven’t missed a day from injury worked through the bumps and bruises. 49 years old today went to 5 meals but take aminos during the day break my fast at noon take aminos during this fasting period until I get home train and pull in 4 meals before bed. 210 lbs ripped stronger and more flexible. So Mike is really confirming what I’ve been doing through my own setup tweaking things here and there. Consistency and dedication and nutrition comes before training. Right on Mike💪🏿❗️

At 5:30, Mike says "cardio is easy". In my experience, serious cardio (which would burn far more than 600 calories an hour) is far more difficult than weightlifting. Mike should try riding an exercise bike at the highest power level he can manage for 20-30 minutes and then see if he thinks cardio is easy. Regardless of the benefits (or lack of benefits) of cardio, serious cardio is a real challenge. This is the reason I enjoy it.

What is bone density can someone explain it ?
@Nig6tWalker4 жыл бұрын
Bone density, or bone mineral density, is the amount of bone mineral in bone tissue. The concept is of mass of mineral per volume of bone, although clinically it is measured by proxy according to optical density per square centimetre of bone surface upon imaging
