Archived means that the task (usually imcomplete) has been put away while done or completed tasks are, as the name suggests, have been acted on and crossed off the list.

@@SiteSpecialistsLLC While this can be true, for a lot of people, not having that visual feedback or taking the time to acknowledge that you actually get things done will easily lead into getting nothing done because you forget about it. If I fall behind on these systems it takes me weeks to get myself to have the motivation to start again. But yes you should 100% keep it quick, simple, and in as little pieces as possible to save time and mental energy.

I use Tick tick primarily, so I can have a planner, calendar, to-do, reminder and tracker all in one app. But I also implement a bit of journaling and long planning every Sunday so I can really see my advancements in different time frames. I also color-code each area of my life there and schedule absolutely everything so it can be done. I just lack a great discipline by now, but exercising frequently has helped me with that. I couldn’t imagine all of that could be made in notion,

Every time I try Notion I get annoyed with it and stop after max 3 days 😭

because IT IS annoying after all. I don't want to elaborate on this but from a UX perspective the tool is more time consuming than helpful. I encourage every young fellow/student etc. to try it and learn some valuable lessons about self management and planning but having a few years of experience in software development/management you'll quickly notice there's soo much waste in the workflows etc. that its more time consuming and unnecessary than actual helpful. I think people like the beautiful stuff and keeping everything tidy etc. but to a degree where its almost a compulsive disorder to controll everything and trying to regulate their fear of missing out or forgetting about something.

These complex so-called productivity tools are BS! You'll only need a clean and simple todo list app like todoist or tick tick that also connects with your calendar. And a habit tracker for your daily habits like go to the gym, meditate etc (some todo list apps has a section for habits tracking also) So don't waste more time in planning and organizing than actual the work.

i LOVE THIS SO MUCH, a die hard fan of the project planner, and love to see the simplfied version and improvements. Ngl two things that really helped me from this video is twofold. 1. Being able to see the big picture BUT ALSO the smaller picture (this blew my mind, since i've always only looked at the big picture 24/7) 2. Having a review day is quintessentially the best thing that i've got to do coz my review template is either too long or i just forget, but having that button makes it 100x simpler and fast to get it done with those 3 key questions, i do like me some key questions, helps to get alot out from just a few questions fr GONNA TRY IT OUT AND see how it goes :D Thanks again matty!!! ❤❤❤

How to add focus log to your notion: 1. Use the link in the video. 2. Once viewing the focus log, click the 3 dots at the top right. Select "duplicate". 3. If logged into your personal notion account it should prompt you which workspace to add the focus log template to. Cheers!
