The writer Will Jordan actually has a KZbin channel with over a million subs called "The Critical Drinker" where he uses his storytelling skills to critique movies and TV shows of today. You should check it out he's very good at telling you why the quality has gotten so bad. I just finished The Blade Itself wanted to personally thank you for recommending what I am sure will be an instant classic series for me.

I picked up The Shadow of the Gods on Saturday (haven’t read it) and had to go back to B&N on Sunday to get The 2nd book because of how much I like the cover. That being said…Durfees new book cover ( The Lonesome Crown) is gonna be “cover of the year” in my opinion. I absolutely love it.

As to the Drizzt books and why there are some differences it comes down to which edition of the tabletop game was being published. The ampersand looking one was the logo for D&D 4th Edition. The one that has D&D is the current edition 5th Edition. They match them up to whatever edition is current.

Believe you already have Gormenghast in hardback on your shelf, but it was a generous gift in paperback anyway. Also, In Cold Blood is the quintessential true crime novel, before there was such a thing. Capote was friends with Harper Lee, and really interviewed the criminals to be able to write In Cold Blood. I read it a few years ago, and was impressed, but I think it was 4 stars for me.

Almost made it through the month without a book purchase but picked up a digital copy of Stephen King's 'Insomnia'. I don't like taking my hard covers to work. I try to read books from the classroom shelf but when it comes to King they only have short story collections and non-fiction works. Picked up four graphic novels in April. 'Astro City Metrobook' vol 1 would be my pick for best of the bunch. Astro City, I had been putting off forever and decided to pick up the newest trade presentation. Reminds me of George R.R. Martin and friends 'Wild Cards' series which I have only read the novels. 'Wild Cards' has been a comic series in the past and is suppose to make a return to comics soon. May pick it up if they do collections but no plans to pick up the single issue comic.

Wow, that's a lot of Drizzt. The Companions Codex (this is right after The Companions, which is of course not confusing at all) is around where I dropped it because it got really stupid with bringing back dead characters. Only bought three non-comic books in April and two of them are just collections of interviews (one for comic book creator Dave Sim, one for filmmaker Werner Herzog) and the third is Cormac McCarthy's Suttree, which is supposedly a comedy. No clue how a McCarthy comedy reads.
