Honestly, I'm trying to be more general, and saving topics like "Changing a headlight bulb in a 2007 Lexus" for later. But we'll see - YT seems to WANT to kill this one, but it's not dying!

Last car I bought was a 2015 Mustang GT 6sp back in 2020. Its given me zero problems outside of a dead miss on one of the cylinders and the fix for that was replacing the injector wire for the cylinder as a squirrel had chewed thru it, cost ~$50 and 10-15 mins of my time.

You should have got a 1997 geo prism. I drove that car for almost 20 years (put about 250k miles on it) only doing basic maintenance. It was easy to work on and I'd compare it to working on a lawnmower. I made sure I got it without any power features. So, am/fm radio, hand crank windows, no floor so I could stick my feet on the road to start and stop it. Then I donated it to a family who needed a car. They drove it for a couple years and then gave it to a cousin to drive. As far as a couple years ago, that car was still on the road. I wouldn't be surprised if it still was. The only vehicle that can outlast a 1997 geo prism is a 80s diesel Mercedes.

Best used car I ever bought was a 2008 Toyota Yaris. My daughter drives it and it's still going strong. Worst was the 2017 Kia Soul. Was a 5 star car until the ICE blew up at 40k miles with zero warning.

I bought an 08 Prius brand new. My son drives it now and it's still going great at 250k miles with nothing more than regular maintenance. It's a little gutless and has developed a few quirks that show up time to time but it's also still getting 40-45 MPG, so I'll take that trade.

Worst car I bought was a Dodge Shadow. Paid 300, wasted 1,000 on it and it tried to kill me one day. Sold it for 300. Best car was a 68 red Mustang. Just did maintenance on it all original 289, loved the car.

Surprised by alternator problems on Toyotas. Never had that on 4 of them. One was a Prius, so only 3 had alternator.

Are u sure the 118hp on the caravan isn't the 4 cylinder specs? The 3.0 has 150hp which is still pretty sad for a v6. I had a 1999 caravan with that engine as my first car and it was pretty slow but got the job done. I currently have a 2001 forth gen caravan with the 3.3. Its got a whopping 185hp lol but it keeps up with traffic fine and does better on hills in the mountains than my 99 did.

All the Weiner Mobiles today were built in 2004 on a Chevy chassis. I can't confirm they are Firebird taillights, but they look like they might be the ones off the 98-02's. The second pic is me in front of the 1952 version which is built on a Dodge chassis.

This video tapped into my compulsive side. For some reason I went out and bought 30 bottles of Downy detergent and 18 Gillette razors. It’s strange, because I don’t own a washer and I have a body length beard. Good job pushing your products on the masses KZbin advertisers, 5 stars. As for the content creator, 4. But I’d give him 5 stars if he had the right side kick. Namely, me.

Darn, I feel good now- I bought an '00 6.8L(V-10) 4x4 Excursion with 184K miles on it for $4500, 8 years ago. Other than regular maintenance, all I've ever had to do to it is replace the heater core (These things have the easiest heater cores to do in all of automotive history- takes like 1/2 an hour)...still going strong. Too bad Ford doesn't still make their trucks like that!

A guy tried to sell me a truck for $8500. I insisted we take it to the dealership for a top to bottom look-see. The dealership said it would cost $13,000 to fix, minus any body work.

Never take an older vehicle to a stealership- They look at it like: "What will it take to put this thing back to absolutely new factory specs". That, or they just plain out lie, plus ridiculously overcharge for every little thing. Fin a good independent mechanic. That truck was propbably fine. Even if it needed a few things, the real price of fixing what it REALLY needed would likely be a tenth of what the stealership quoted....

@@bobbylibertini exactly dealerships act like a fixed car = an untouched car with every part brand new not a touch of dust on anything. so if you ask them if it's in good condition they're always going to make you feel like it's shit

That's good advice. You don't really want a total cost, you want a detailed list of the things they found... which I would hope you got. When I took the Acura to a transmission shop, I told them the car was worth $3500, and not to quote me anything higher than that. Of course they quoted me 6 grand. Idiots.

Worst car I ever bought (though I love it) is my 2004 Jeep Wrangler that is currently sitting in my backyard with a clogged catalytic converter and no interest in starting. It was a lemon from the start. The best: My 2028 Nissan Maxima that had only 15000 miles when I bought it...I'm almost to 100k with no major issues.

Not to sound rude. If you are a mechanic why don't you research cars and their history with other users and what not? It seems like you bought cars all over the spectrum from different brands and so forth. Some years of brands are notorious and some engines are notorious and what have you. Google searches can show these issues. I mean yeah, some people will have issues that aren't common and sadly that hurts when you are the 1 in a 10,000 or so who get's a bad car even though most people love it, but still. I am rambling at this point so I am done.
