Gorgeous! I want one! You review the best and most exotic knives!

With the Ball Bearing I use you are Gaining Strength and not loosing, there is no difference how big/long you got the bolster part is, Is up to the pivot pins you use, how big the shaft is, how is Heat treated and what steel it is. I don't use IKBS any more I only use Ball bearings from Alpha knife supply and ROCK, you can tighten the pivot way harder.

I'm liking the modernist aesthetic of some of your newer flippers.

As a dane, It's nice to see a Danish knife maker hit the big market worldwide :).. Love your reviews Jim. Keep it up :)

Absolutely LOVED this video Jim, first of yours I've seen so far. Likewise I can really appreciate Mikkel's work, when it finally came back into stock I bought the World Legal through Lansky and fuck me.. it out-performs most other knives I own when I'm out doing bushcraft and at most the blade's only needed a touch-up to keep it in top shape after 6 months of regular usage. Can definitely appreciate a good knife, and I've seen some comments here mentioning complexity and unique detail from Mikkel and I can only strongly agree.. Keep up the good vids!

Jim, I may have missed it, but what happened to the guest blade review of the two Willumsen's mentioned in this video? I would love to see a review of his updated models with the inlay and updated hardware, etc. I just got an Urban Dagger (my first Willumsen) and really dig it
@poisoncobra78 жыл бұрын
you should take a look at his new model, it's insane !!!
@exit98748 жыл бұрын
But you don't think he anodized a roundbar that's a couple of inches long. And then cut the stop pins out of that. Which means that he didn't made an effort of not anodizing the ends..and instead made it easier by not anodizing them after he cut and grinded the ends of the stop pins. Just a thought

That was only $800? That's frikin nuts!

It's not an optical illusion, it's actually a semantics issue concerning how you define 'blade' and where you measure it from. The way to resolve this would be to measure consistently using one method either tip to pivot OR tip to handle. Exposed blade would be an easy constant to use.....

That is one bad ass knife. Very Tactical. I think Willumsen and Dwayne Carrillo have some similarities in the way they look at building knives. It seems no one of there knives look exactly alike. They are all different like snow flakes.

I cant find this knife anywhere but i can find a knife listed as a "Mikkel Willumsen urban tactical Perock Flipper" and it look extremly similar to this. Do you know where you can find this knife and what your opinions are on the urban tactial perock flipper?
@JimSkeltonKnives9 жыл бұрын
The Perock is nice too. You can order a CWC or any other model he makes directly from him. www.willumsen-cph.com

..and you're probably losing lateral strength on the pivot area, compared to a knife that has the pivot well vented around the bolster area

Jim is there a folding knife you don't like? I feel every custom knife you pick up is "fricken awesome", regardless how ridiculous it may be.

People don't generally spend money on things they don't like... do they? Maybe they do and I'm just the odd man out who doesn't do that sort of thing. On my channel I reviews my knives, that I pay for (so of course I like them... yet I do objectively dissect them, and list pros/cons on every single one), or I review knives sent to my by fellow collectors (Guest Blade series) that I have an interest in experiencing.

I looks anything but useful, thus far seen couple of vids on your channel. I love the blades you own, i do but most of them are useless.

wow to think you could get something that beautiful and custom for the same price as a xm-18. fuck hinderer.
@o.w.i.m10 жыл бұрын
For a serious custom knife made in Denmark that is so cheap I just do not Think most realize. Production costs in places like Denmark or Sweden are rather high. Then I bet theirs some sick import/export taxation costs any purchaser will get stuck with. I do not know what tariffs are applicable to diff non EU countries but I do know that personally importing say a "knife" from a non EU country to Sweden (EU member) will add a 32.5% tariff to the base cost of the shipment. These kind of penalties just make prices skyrocket mostly due to being darn inconvenient.

@TacticalXRays11 жыл бұрын
i like mikkel's work, but this seems so..unfinished. like he used up materials he screwed up for other blades. the fuller and the recurve portion doesn't match at the base of the blade.. i know it's probably meant that way, but i can't seem to get behind it. nevertheless, enjoy the knife jim. you have tpo like it, not me :)
