That one w the moon glow inserts was very nice. The others look like caricatures from an fight fantasy video game. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially when you have to combat goblins.

How old are you?If you're starting out something like an Opinel or a Victorinox. If that's too mehh for you, look at something like a Kershaw knife (they have a lot of cheap models) or a cheap spyderco knife. Most of those knives are good bangs for your buck, and don't look too aggressive/scary. Good luck!

To open his mail, I mean do you really think this is the type of bloke that does manly stuff. Check out his beautiful hands, so soft and his nice manicured nails. C'mon people call it how you see it and stop the bullshit. He's a TV presenter, a salesman. I'm not saying that he's no good at his job nor am I having a go at him about who he is. I'm just saying stop trying to pretend to be something your obviously not.
@MPerry-ox9qb10 жыл бұрын
Didn't know you walked a mile in his shoes. Did you not watch his video? These aren't safe queens. If they were there wouldn't be wear on the handles & scratches on his knives. Especially, his 7 favorite high-end knives. I'm sure he isn't using his knives to chop up wood, or using them as a pry bar. That's what a heavy duty fixed blade is for. Folding knives are made for light to medium duty task. Just to be clear. I said, "USE". I didn't say being a badass knife fighter. Who kills gators and bears, with his knives for shits and giggles.
@TheBrowndog196910 жыл бұрын
Hahaha yes I get your point Matt and I appreciate your response. I too like the type of reviews he does, however there is no need for him to come across as pretentious. He is obviously a very good presenter and salesman and should stick to telling people about his knives and leave the bullshit out. I realize for a high end knife you would be crazy to use it for bolstering bricks but it's also as discerning to hear about the "latte knife club" that get around asking one another what is your edc today like they are some falic symbol that represents your manliness. It's a knife, it's craftsmanship should be enjoyed. That's all.
@JimSkeltonKnives10 жыл бұрын
TheBrowndog1969 No idea where you're getting your impressions. I have FULLY detailed how I use my knives in my "Frequently Asked Questions 1 & 2" videos. I've never made up anything. As I keep stating and restating ad nauseum... I am a suburban person, don;t hunt or fish, and don't chop up cattle or anything. I am allowed to buy a knife to use my way just as someone else is allowed to buy one and chop down a small tree if they wish. I'm not changing my lifestyle or who I am just because I love collecting knives.
@TheBrowndog196910 жыл бұрын
Well said Jim and I fully concur.

@killasenpai13358 жыл бұрын

@sekayegaudet1318 жыл бұрын
Than what? I know that is the case for a frame vs liner lock, but for instant why don't they use their own version of a axis lock i.e. some sort of piston lock.

You sometimes mention that custom knife makers "give away" knives in contests. When you say that do you mean you had the opportunity to buy the knife or you actually won a free knife? Just curious, as I am not particularly familiar with the custom knife world.
