Yes I've been somewhat away for a bit. I've been really busy trying to see if I can get someone to help me edit the videos, so I can have more content for you guys. I want to get the Mini up and going so if I can spend more time in the garage instead of on the computer, I feel that will be beneficial. Thank you for being patient!!

One of the first modifications I did on my 07 350z. Absolutely essential if you care about clutch feel.
@machineslave34 жыл бұрын
This was what I was wondering. I owned an ND Miata and now a Mazda 3 and their clutches have the perfect amount of feel and clutches engage linearly. I really like the Z but all the discussion about poor clutch feel turned me off for a while.
@BrokenStatues74 жыл бұрын
Gregory G the RJM clutch pedal assembly fixed it for me. Feels like a normal linear clutch and you can adjust the clutch pedal height/engagement. The regular “snapping” assembly is trash in my opinion.
@Tony-wd5xp6 жыл бұрын
I did this to my 350z awhile back. The old setup in the Z cars operate like a mouse trap which acts like an on or off engagement. The RJM acts like a proper pedal allowing for adjustable modulation. Great mod

Thanks for the vid, I just ordered one out. Can't wait to get it in. I hope RJM takes care of you, your clear and simple video is the reason I ordered it. EDITED: I got the kit and had a teenager install it for me, took about an hour AND THE RESULTS GAVE ME THE CAR I WANTED ! It is simply amazing what it did for the feel of my car. Thank you very much for your video, until now I was ready to trade of my 350z roadster and that would have been a huge mistake. I can't believe this video only has 4000 views?

THANK YOU! I hated my spongy clutch with over-travel. I ordered the RJM for my 350Z Roadster, hired a skinny 19 year old with mechanical aptitude but not a mechanic to put it in for me. Took him 1 hr 45min to install it after watching your video and a few others on youtube. No readjustment was necessary and it feels like a new car with a perfect clutch. It is truly an amazing mod, thanks a million for your video and to RJM for a fantastic product.

I’m happy you like it. But you need to tell everyone that once they do this, their warranty is toast if it involves anything remotely pertaining to the transmission. I’ve been thinking about it but for now, I will stick with the stock pedal assembly at least until my warranty period is over. Secondly, I really thought that for the price, the JRM pedal assembly would be a higher quality piece with mostly billet machined components. It doesn’t look like it.
@Tony-wd5xp6 жыл бұрын
It won't mess with your warranty. This type of mod if not properly installed will damage your slave and clutch (over extending slave, not fully disengaging causing wear to clutch or grinding gears). That is a problem you will notice during the "tuning" process as per the instructions. If you are concerned about the mod causing warranty issues then swap the stock one in. Easy.

Try double clutching 1st to 2nd in until your install. Even with the extra work during the shift 2nd will engage much smoother and provide a more linear rate of acceleration

So what if the Jam nut is like stuck/molded to the Clevis fork? I can’t break it loose unless I apply force while holding the rod with a pair of pliers, and is it okay if the rod itself moves? There’s no other way for me to get it off unless I use pliers and a wrench, but even with that the whole rod spins instead of the fork.
@bananaroyal434 жыл бұрын
If installing the heavy duty clevis u must break loose the lock nut behind the old clevis before removing the clip and pin. I Missed that part in the written instructions and ended up in the same boat as you and used some wd40 and 2 wrenches to loosen it after. Lol

Hello! Is it worth getting the master cylinder replacement kit as well ? or would you just recommend getting the assembly. I notice that the ultimate package is always sold out because the master cylinder kit is always sold out so wondering if its waiting for them to restock, or just order the clutch assembly on its own.
@Xxbloodysniper3 жыл бұрын
What did you end up doing I’m not sure if I should get the package or not?
@PR1NCETD0T5 жыл бұрын
The thing i hate about the stock pedal assembly is that its very stiff at the top until about 60-70% pushed in and then for the last 30-40% its really soft and you literally feel nothing until its resting on the floor. The thing is, the stock clutch bites right before the “soft” numbness feeling ends and a hair off and you’ll jerk the car lol. Been driving my Z for about a year and its parked for the winter now but i really hate the pedal feel. (Im used to it now, and i know where it bites without thinking but its really unforgiving)

@milanmastracci3 жыл бұрын
Yes! By a long shot! This is by far one of the best 'feeling' upgrades for the 370Z. If you install this, and then jump into a 370Z with the stock clutch pedal, you won't believe that Nissan thought that was acceptable.
