It makes me sad when folks say they didn't play world tour. Street Fighter RPG was honestly worth the price of admission alone AND it's one of the best ways to practice fundies and get yourself warmed up to play online
@labdG8 ай бұрын
I absolutely love World Tour and it trained me enough that SF6 has become the first fighting game I've really gotten into. But I can understand if players who are already very good at the game find all the NPC battles too easy and boring. For me it was a great learning curve and even the easiest fights could be nice punching bags for trying different moves. And World Tour just felt like it was made for me because (for a long time now) I've wanted a singleplayer RPG-style game with martial arts combat like a fighting game. And here comes World Tour with just that! And even though I mostly enjoy games about violent action, I really liked how the vibe of the game was very wholesome and about friendly competition instead of killing people.
@Fizzix8 ай бұрын
@labdG I wholeheartedly agree. The thought and care given to the world tour mode is... completely unheard of in fighting games and that's why even if you're master ranked, you should just go play it for funsies. It's basically a modern Final Fight in which you can practice your SF movements, spacing, combos and other tech. It's brilliant and without folks playing it, it means the next iteration of fighters won't even bother to do something so interesting and unique with its single player mode. Sf6 world tour mode is an anomaly in a sea of fighting games, and that... is what makes it so special. Go play world tour. I spent 45 hours in there and not a single second of it feels wasted.

So crazy that so many pro players are crying about Perfect Parry and Drive Rush. I think it's awesome to see a game where any character can win because they all have the universal tools at their disposal in addition to their own kits.
@doctordice2doctordice2108 ай бұрын
Top players cry, it's practically what they're the best at
@TenjinZekken8 ай бұрын
Strong universal mechanics can be equal and still bad. For instance,pretend everyone has an instant win button. Every character now has equal chance to win, yet the mechanic is obviously ass. PP isn't that egregious, but in combination with how safe it is to attempt, bevause there's only a single instance where you get punished for trying to PP, which is parrying early, amd the only punish is a PC throw, which if youve ever heard pros talk about why strike throw isn't a true 50/50 in the corner, you'll know it's barely a punish. Essentially PP is too strong because : Successful PP means punish. Late attempt means you just get block. Early DP is only punished by throw which is a weak punish. Risk reward balance is just not that good. Compare to 3S, even though it's a much bigger window 2f vs 10f you have to press forward, meaning a missed parry is a full combo punish from the aggressor.
@nugzmedallion89298 ай бұрын
@TenjinZekken Parries can and have been baited. Plus literally everyone has access to them, AND damage is significantly scaled down when you do get a punish so even a full combo only does a small amount. Imo the people who are complaining about parry probably just aren't good at utilizing it, themselves. Git gud bro
@nugzmedallion89298 ай бұрын
@@doctordice2doctordice210 you aren't lying bro lmao
@TenjinZekken8 ай бұрын
@@nugzmedallion8929 it's not that damage doesn't matter, but the risk reward is disproportionate. A successful parry gets you a combo which means you can get corner carry, side switch, into oki and a turn. Failing only punishes you with either a neutral result, or a PC throw. The risk you take for the potential reward is extremely favored towards the parryer. The avikity being available to everyone doesn't make it a better mechanic. Like what if we gave everyone OD Amnesia, or everyone dragon lash. Would that make the game better? Not at all. If you need a more dumbed down example, say everyone has a instant win button, literally press and win. Is that a cool and good mechanic? Nope. If everyone is allowed to rob and steal from banks without legal repercussion, does that make it a good life "mechanic"? Nope. Symmetry is easily the worst way to "balance" things, and thinking it's a good way to balance just shows a lack of critical thinking.

This is kind of the reason why I’m leaning more towards SF6 over MK1 as the top fighter of this year. Whereas it can feel like MK1’s top roster is basically set, SF6 feels like a game where as long as your main isn’t Lily (since I can’t recall at the moment if we have seen anyone win something major with her. Feel free to correct me), any character can be a viable choice. In this case with Rashid, we knew he was likely going to become problematic after time was spent in the lab by a select few and we are witnessing the outcome of that time spent. That and Street Fighter 6’s gameplay and presentation felt more solid.

In regards to the "honeymoon period", very fighting game generally has a period where people will find something to complain about. You kind of have to look at what people are complaining about and if those complaints have any real merit. For example, the people complaining about Drive Rush and Drive Parry should instead be complaining about Capcom's shitty monetization practices, of which SF6 is probably the most egregious they're being so far with how terrible the fight pass is and how much they're charging for avatar outfits and DLC characters
@ryo-kai85878 ай бұрын
THIS. It's so annoying feeling like one of the few people to keep pointing this out. Drive Ticket economy is terrible, money and ticket prices for cosmetics are terrible. The game conditioned you to dye outfits throughout the entire single-player mode, yet _you have to pay $8 for ONLY 1 OF 3 COLORS_ of an avatar cosmetic. They seriously need to make some changes here. I went in intending to support because SF6 is excellent, but the offensive monetization turned me off from spending on anything but the re-earnable premium pass. Solutions to fix DLC: - EVERY character immediately gets outfit 3 - More outfits on the way, including discounted holiday ones - Halve the price of every Avatar cosmetic - Add an earnable dye system for Hub shop cosmetics - After Tier 30 in the Premium Pass, you unlock infinite tiers that net you a few Drive Tickets to reward dedicated players - Each month's Premium Pass contains a (1) item cosmetic voucher to get whatever you want from the Hub shop - New stages, including holiday ones that are free and time-limited, and paid ones that are unique - New stage music

@@Dbreezy229 because microsoft is a scummy, soulless, incompetent, creatively bankrupt, steaming puddle of cat piss company. they have deep pockets, thats it. they have zero interest in quality, innovation or advancing the industry creatively. they just wanna buy it.

Man at 9:28, Rashids Anti-Air sucks, and if you look at Gachickun's Face, it explains it all too. haha haha

I don't get the surprise? Not like he's Zangief, Menat, T Hawk sister or any of those chronically nerfed characters with no anti airs, projectiles, slow walk, short drive rush...

Street Fighter 6 is easily my favourite fighting game. I felt so let down by MK1 and it sucked because MK got me into fighting games, played T8 Network test and Beta, seems like thats gonna be my favourite Tekken at least

Weren't pros unironically asking for the 50% scaling on PP to be removed, or at least lowered, a few months ago?

Day 322 of waiting for *Week of JP* The Converkts found my hiding place but i left 1 week before they arrived. At the moment i am lost but will get some answers to where exactly im at with this outpost i stumbled apon. I already made quick work with my knife to the lookouts so just need to sneak in an get the commander. Ill wait for nightfall when he is laying his head down before i make my move. I will stay in this small cave until nightfall then i will strike. As of now i see no *Week of JP* in sight so i will continue my mission -Ghost Folver out-
