Milestone Watches: Marriage, Divorce, F*** You

I am a widower. I lost my wife four days after the second birthday of our youngest daughter and four days before I turned 40 in 2021. I had previously wished for a watch for my birthday, but gave up the wish in favor of more meaningful things for a family with three children. After this and other terrible events in my life, I realized that no one should keep wishes waiting. I bought an Omega Speedmaster "Dark side of the moon" and have arranged with my children that their mom is on the moon at night watching us sleep and is a red Milan circling our house during the day. On the back of the Omega it says "We'll see you on the other side".

My dream watch since I was 10 year old was an Omega Seamaster. I didn’t grow up with money and the idea of spending thousands on a watch seemed impossible. Fast forward to 2022 and My Grandmothers health took a turn that summer and I spent most days with her in the hospital. She asked me out of the blue if I ever did buy that watch I was always talking about. I explained I was waiting for a better time, I had the funds to do so, but you know theirs always a reason not to spend the money. She looked at me and told me I didn’t know how much time I had left and better times are never promised. I got up went to my local Omega Boutique and purchased it on the spot. I’ve worn it everyday and it’s the most important thing I own now. As far as I’m concerned this watch will be with me till the day I pass.

My father wore an automatic watch while I was a kid and this fascinated me. When I turned 65 and retired, having looked at Rolex’s for years but not wanted to spend the money, I started a watch search from a clean sheet of paper and learned from all of you about watches. The search culminated in the purchase of my GS SLGH005 White Birch, which I purchased in May of last year, and I’m proudly wearing now. The open case back mesmerizes me daily.

Congrats on a truly beautiful watch. Im waiting on a 41mm Rolex date just with jubilee bracelet, but my head has been truly turned by the Grand Seiko SBGY013 on bracelet. I figure an equally beautiful watch to the Rolex, if not more so and with the mesmerising spring drive movement. Granted, a manual wind, but that's part of the fun surely? But can I turn my back on such a big watch for a real alternative, horological piece? It is a Rolex after all that I wait for, but the Grand Seiko is gorgeous.

So here is my milestone watch story. I’m 42 years old now, and most of my life I’ve been active, athletic, worked out religiously, ate very well. So it was a big surprise at 38 that I found out thru a random set of circumstances that I was born with a heart defect and my aortic valve was deteriorated, leaking, and needed surgery. Thru some testing and monitoring my time came to have the surgery in June 2021. The time leading up to it sucked. Physical restrictions, limited lifting weights and activities and all the things I loved. The surgery was open heart, massively invasive, and painful. But I kicked on thru it, rehabbed myself and four months later I was squatting weight and kayaking many miles. They tell you that it takes about a year for your body to fully recover. That’s pretty true. Even though I was good, there was lingering side effects. Heart rhythm irregularity, random nerve pain, stuff like that. So when my one year appt came up I was a little nervous just hoping everything had held together right thru the year of getting back after it. I headed down to my appt in Philadelphia, Pa about two hours away and the appt went really well. I was so relieved. I said to my wife I would like to go over to the watch boutiques at King of Prussia for the afternoon just to look around. Now, I should back up and say that ever since the 1997 goldeneye movie (the first time at 17 that I drove to a movie myself with a friend), I have had a hard long crush on the omega seamaster watches. So I decided to stroll into the omega boutique and just browse. After kind of hitting it off with the watch technician there, we chatted for awhile about watches, guns, etc I asked him on a whim if he happened To have one of the green seamasters there. He said he did, but it was pre sold. I said that’s cool, can I at least see it in person. So I drooled on it awhile and he asked me if I wanted to put my name down for one, but it could be quite some months. I said sure. The green was the best one I’ve ever seen. Up till that point I couldn’t make up my mind which color I liked. 4 days later he called me and said the guy decided to pass on the green seamaster. He told me his boss said if he could get ahold of me by the end of the day, he could sell it. He needed up calling my business, emailing me, and texting. I almost didn’t see it. I called him and bought it right on the spot. That watch will always now signify for me that journey from goldeneye to adulthood to crazy health scares to kicking heart surgery’s ass. When Andrew pulled that photo of the green seamaster in the challenge epsiode, my adrenaline spiked a little! Even though I own it, just seeing the watch in a photo or video like that gives me that excited teenager feeling. That watch is a “till death do us part” watch now. Thanks for all the great content guys. Loving season 2!

I treated myself this week. I got the Pelagos 39 following a call from the AD. I have 3 young children and I spend pretty much everything I have on them. I do okay in my job, so I took it as an opportunity (with the blessing of my wife, of course) to treat myself. After hours of deliberation as to whether I should buy it , I visited the store, bought my watch and I'm now rocking the Pelagos. I have a real sense of personal achievement being able to buy a watch like this. 3 years ago, there wasn't a chance I could go for a timepiece of such value.

I purchased my Grand Seiko GMT SBGM245 after being laid off from the most successful position I had ever held professionally. It was symbolic in a lot of ways, I was betting on myself, also the Traveler's GMT complication represented mobility and why I needed to stop investing so much of myself into the success of other brands and really beginning to focus on the brand I've created on KZbin. I haven't returned to a day job yet, and although I am open to it, I've become a lot more selective of which commitments I plan to allow back into my life, dividing into what is truly important. I missed my Mother's passing due to a feeling of obligation to that company, which ultimately let me go, so my GS also embodies the preciousness of time and me finally taking greater control of that commodity moving forward... Wow, you guys were right about the deep cuts on this one, cheers!

My father's watch: Many years ago my father [unexpectedly] gifted me his 1965 Omega Seamaster 300. He had bought it new when he signed on with the CIA and, as such, it was kind of a "milestone" watch for him. At the same time, he told me all the other guys were buying Rolex and he just wanted to go a different direction so at the same time it was an "f you" watch to that herd mentality. It served him many years in Vietnam & Laos. It has a rich mix of meanings for me and I'll make sure my son understands that when I give it to him. P.S. just subscribed. First podcast I EVER subscribed to and why not? It's the best watch podcast. Period, no qualifier necessary.

Deeper episode yet, loved it ! Have no friends who care about watches so, here is my milestone watch I just received - with a deeper, unwanted meaning in it. I am teaching Aeronautics in high school for the first year alongside teaching my normal stuff, always dreamed of doing it. Decided to treat myself a blue Laco flieger to celebrate that. But the woman who helped me set this class on the tracks (I do the teaching, she arranged one free flight at the commands for every kid, and much more) just passed in a plane crash, after meeting the kids. Now everytime I look at the watch, I remember the crazy smiles the kids had when, with her, one month before the accident we told them "You study hard, and we promise you will pilot a plane next Spring, with an air force pilot in it to help you !". One of her friend took the project in charge so it will happen, and the kids are studying harder than before, in their words "to honour this epic lady". That's why I do this job, for those smiles, and that''s what fueled her too. Aaaaand now i'm messed up too on my laptop. Rest in peace C

Great episode thank you guys! When I left university, my parents decided to gift me a watch. So my dad took me and we went to his jeweler to look at a few models. It was a great day and we’ve tried a lot, like omega, nomos, rolex, tudor, jlc (and yes there also was a TAG Heuer). In the end it came down to a nomos metro or an omega speedmaster, which I expected to be to boring in the first place, but my dad convinced me to try it on. After looking at the watches, we went for a coffee to reflect on what we’ve seen and two hours later I’ve left the jeweler with the omega on my wrist - what a great feeling. At that time life was really tough, so my parents not only made me an extremely generous present but also gifted me a day of needed distraction. So in the end whenever I look at my watch, I am remembered to that day, that time in my life, the achievement of a masters degree and most importantly to many great memories with my parents. And because of wearing it most of the days I put more and more good and bad memories on it. Again thanks for sharing your stories, which led me to write this comment.

What a powerful episode! Thank you Adrian for sharing that story. I can't explain in what way exactly.... but it really resonated with me! We all face difficult times in our lives, and I wish you and all of us here a way past them without breaking. I'm going to be 31 soon, but the Swatch Irony my brother bought me when I was in the 6th grade... it's a memory that buying no other watch since has come remotely close to it. My family was literally there with me, helping me pick. And I didn't know watches back then, but knew that Swatch was Swiss made and that was luxury. The joy I had when starring at that gorgeous sunburst blue dial was incredible. I don't come from money, so getting a Swatch was a huge deal! I still have that watch, got a new strap for it and it's still running. They don't make Swatches anymore like they used to.

Another milestone that I don't think was mentioned is the "In memoriam" watch. A colleague had a gold Rolex OP that he bought with inheritance money when his father passed away, and wears it to remember him. I lost my mum a little over a year ago, and with some of the money she left to me, I bought an Omega Planet Ocean, which I will keep forever and pass on to my children.

She got an eternity ring from me and I got a Tag Heuer 2000 Automatic from her. Still in my regular rotation today! My first gift to myself for what was a successful year for me was an Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph from 2010. Still an absolute favourite today! and left to me from my uncle when he passed in 2016 was an Omega AT SS with gold hands and indices on brown alligator leather strap. Finally, my grail watch, my 2022 Omega Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich that was bought by my family coz I hit 50! Thank you once again for sharing! Have a great week one and all!

This episode really made me think. I really started getting into watches in September of ‘22, always liked them but now I have sat back and learned more and gained a better appreciation for them. I'm personally attached to my Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary for so many reasons - but mostly because of my personal connection, passion, and love for the Apollo Lunar missions and watches: mix the two together, and you will own something which will always connect to you emotionally.

This past summer I had a serious health crisis, congestive heart failure, a blown out heart valve and significant artery blockage. I wound up having open heart surgery to have the valve replaced and a double bypass. Blessed with pretty good health otherwise and not being in bad shape I made a very quick recovery. I hadn't bought a new watch in years and decided to celebrate life and recovery with a new time piece. With medical bills and being off work for a month I set a budget for myself of around $5k and started scouring stores and the net for ideas. I ended up with two new time pieces from Longines. I picked up the new Spirit Zulu Time with the anthracite dial and green bezel and a Stainless Legend Diver with the mesh strap. I loved the look of these two but it was the names that really meant something to me as I was celebrating the spirit of life and a legendary recovery!

When Andrew spoke about marriage, parenthood, sacrifice and then putting yourself first, I got the maddest chills and welted up. I've never been great at taking compliments, rewarding myself, putting myself remotely first. I recently got a promotion, just surpassed my first year as a dad and have been pushing my internal wiring to agree that yes, I can spend a paycheck or twos worth on a really good watch. Narrowing down to an Aqua Terra or a Grand Seiko. When it happens, it'll be a great thing to have on my wrist; a reminder - you are worth it

Here's one for the stories: Back in 2007 I was actually working for GB and the family at their OG Bamford & Sons store in London - inevitably I gravitated to GBs world, curating all the vintage watches that were coming in,... I think in fact selling the first ever iPhone in the country (because GB had coincidentally flown to NYC to pick up the first drop... also got in trouble when I sold it to a Bahranian princess with GBs sim-card still in it *facepalm*)... GB was also doing his first PVD coated Rolex Daytonas at the time. However, I, as a 20 year old was only just starting to understand and love watches... of course I took a liking to the Speedmasters, the seemingly only 'affordable' watch that was on display. George and I spoke often about them and he eventually took a Speedmaster to be coated in dark, dark black (years before the dark side of the moon)... Time went on, I left Bamford & Sons to got to Sandhurst, later deploying to Afghanistan in 2011. Fondly remembering my time learning watches with GB and the Bamfords, I took the £4.5k that I had saved up whilst away, thinking: 'f*ck me I just survived that... screw the consequences!', marched straight into a boutique and bought my first ever 'proper' watch, a Speedmaster. Working there in 2007 got me into watches, something that I've enjoyed ever since... and here we are now, some time later telling stories. It's the *stories* that make the watch... A watch without a story is just a pricetag on a wrist. Vive le AET fam! P.S @ GB: Never got that congratulations watch for selling 3 Daytonas in a weekend! *shakes fist*

I wasn’t expecting to connect so much with this but the topic along with your views and experiences really hit the mark. I have been lucky enough to enjoy a number of expensive watches some of which have come and gone without a second thought, but two will never leave me because they feel apart of me and my life. My first ‘proper’ watch was a Tag Heuer Carrera CV2014-2 I bought 10 years ago and I still have it, it was on my wrist day and night up until I expanded my collection over the past year or two. It was present at all of the most important events of my life so far, I won’t go in to specifics but the nostalgia and emotion I get every time I put this watch on is remarkable - I will be most proud to pass this one on to my kids and hope it’s on there wrists to mark the highest of celebrations and be on there to remind them of strength and worth in their most challenging moment as it was for me. The second was a big Fuck You watch and a story for another time 💪🏻 Keep up the great content and be happy 🙌🏻

I emailed Adrian about this a little over a year ago and I don't know if it ever reached him, but my wife got me a wedding watch. Surprised the fuck out of me before our first look photos and I wept... I wept because it was the watch I've wanted since 1997 when I was in middle school. Now it wasn't the exact one, but a modern variant that I have Adrian to thank for discovering. It is the white dial, Omega Diver 300 professional. It was Adrian's video with macro shots and lighting that made me pay attention, and when I saw it in person I wouldn't shut up about it. So much so she knew just what to get. I would love to share all the details surrounding it with you guys!!

One day my father got a new watch, nice simple Seiko on a bracelet. I asked him about his old watch, a Seiko 5, that no longer kept great time, scratched crystal. So, he gave it to me. But this was his watch he wore in Vietnam, which he bought on leave one weekend in Japan. I kept and prized the watch for many years. I eventually took it to a trusted watch service, and had the whole thing refurbished (it had never been serviced in 40 years). I wore it on a trip to see him and he asked me about the watch I was wearing, he didn’t recognize it. When I told him the story about treasuring it, finding someone I could trust to make the watch run again, and presenting it back to him. He was in tears. He gave the watch back to me and said it was now part of both of our stories. It’s my most treasured possession, a simple old Seiko 5….my fathers war watch.

Such a great episode, maybe the best one yet. I have had a cool milestone watch journey so far. My dad got me into watches when I was 14 (am now 23). For high school he gave me an old Tommy Bahama but I loved it. For college he gave me a his Breitling Avenger II black dial with rubber strap. Then for college graduation he gave me his 2001 Rolex GMT coke. Even though he bought it for $3500 then and it is worth over $15k now that will be a watch I give to my kids. As much as I love those 3 watches I have bought two watches since getting the coke. My father knows an AD well and i always loved a black dial sub date. I was able to get one Dec of 2021 as an every day watch and to mark the start of my full-time working career. I loved wearing the GMT every day but I wanted to keep it in the great condition it is on so decided to get myself the sub. I also had to pick up the g-shock bamford once I saw it on this show!

Fantastic episode guys! Adrian hit me right in the feels! Whilst working on cruise ships as a musician some years ago, my phone was water damaged after sailing through a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico whilst we had a crew party on the top deck. I saw no point in replacing the phone whilst I was out at sea so I bought a cheap little Citizen simply to know the time. Back then I had no interest in watches at all, but this watch literally travelled the world with me from carnival parties in Rio De Janeiro to whale watching in Antarctica. As I’ve slowly got into watches over the years I’ve always come back round to the watch that started it all (even before I even knew one day I’d have such a passion for watches). It’s completely worthless, but to me it’s priceless ❤️

I got diagnosed with cancer in Aug 2022. Its been a difficult journey but I decided to get myself a Hamilton Khaki Field mechanical green dial specifically for the mechanical part of it. To wind the watch every day reminds me to take this process day by day and be grateful for every day. I am planning on getting myself a better piece (probably tool watch to signify that anything can be survived) once I have my first clear scan! I really enjoyed this episode! Thank you gents! I also loved George's story of tracking down his grandfather's watch, buying it back, and giving it to his dad. To me, that says something very positive about his character and the determination that has likely undergirded his success. In 2000, when I was facing great challenges, I had an unscheduled layover in Frankfurt and decided to take advantage of the duty free boutiques to get a watch I needed and wanted, a Tag Heuer Link. It's seen me through adventures around the world and, although it's no longer in style and I have a collection of more impressive watches, I can never put my Tag back in the case and retire it. I still wear it often because it feels right and I know I can count on it in any situation.

Awesome episode and kudos to you Adrian! My truly special watch is a Doxa Sub 300. This is the classic Clive Cussler story - As a kid I grew up devouring Dirk Pitt novels and back then (the late 80’s and early 90’s), I would always, consciously, take note of the moment in the book when Cussler would reference the famous Doxa with its orange dial and luminous hands on the wrist of the fearless protagonist saving the world from some farfetched evil. I loved it. Decades later, I accidentally stumbled onto a forum of Cussler geeks and among them was a chap who referenced the watch and the fact that you could get something akin to Dirk Pitts watch online from Doxa. This blew my mind and blasted me into the rabbit hole of online research for the Doxa and ultimately watches in general. A while later my 35th birthday came and with that I bought my first special watch - the Doxa Sub 300 - a birthday watch, granted but more importantly, the watch from my childhood.

Guys, I watched this and your "watches we'd love to own" in-particular as I was looking at an endurance pro. I decided to bite the bullet on it as it was my first luxury watch purchase, and this year is some huge milestones. My first business is doing well, and I have launched 2 more this year as well getting married. I brought the black version but purchased red, yellow and powder blue straps as they are the colour schemes if my 3 business. Super chuffed with it and glad I bit the bullet!

Adrian, thank you for sharing your feelings and emotions. You said so little, but I am sure that we all felt so much. A few years ago, a very dear friend of mine passed away, way before her time. Chance allowed me to find a beautiful watch that just happened to be manufactured on a significant date in her life, and I bought it. It is subtle, discrete and almost no one notices it. I wear it on her birthday and the anniversary of her passing, and a few other days each year when I like knowing that she might be with me. Got three never sell, emotional watches: 1. Bell&Ross BR03-92: the watch that got me back into the watch-game. I was eying it for ages, as it reminded me of the instruments in my dad’s teeny little plane where I learnt flying in. So it’ll never leave my collection as it reminds me of that time with my dad. 2. Rolex Air-King 116900: Got it as an FU watch after going through a dire hardship and therapy. It combines three of my interests. Aviation (although only through it’s name), racing cars (with the dial being designed after the Rolex made instruments for the ssc bloodhound) and the properties of the milgauss (which would’ve been another watch of my choice) since I work in IT around lots of electronical devices. Been wearing that watch almost every day as well as to all important occasions since, including the birth of my son. 3. A vintage omega seamaster. I got to be the best man at one of my best friends wedding, so I bought him, my other best friend (who also was groomsman) and myself vintage omegas, our so called “Bromegas”. I was a truck driver for coke for 15 years and i decided to get my own truck and drive for myself. At the time the only nice watch I had was a movado bold which was just something to have for a nice dinner so I didn’t have to wear a beat up Apple Watch. Well I bought my truck in December of 2020 and I felt so blessed to be able to leave on my own terms. So after my first run I went into a local jewelry store in New Orleans and bought a tag formula 1 and it felt just as amazing as I thought it would and it was a gift to myself to celebrate just having confidence to bet on me!! I will definitely get more nice watches but I will keep that tag until the day I give it to my son who was 3 at the time I bought my truck. Damn this was such an amazing episode gentleman. I somehow got lucky enough and bought a Rolex OP 36mm black dial 2019 from an AD for my dirty thirty golden birthday (30 years old). It was also an achievement watch for hitting an income milestone that I had worked so hard to achieve. I remember watching Adrian’s videos for months and months which helped me narrow down which watch I wanted to move forward with. I am so happy to this day that I got that watch and I will never sell it. It has developed many scratches and I have learned to appreciate where we have gone together. Great Episode I’ve been obsessed with watches since my Dad showed me his grandfathers 1916 Rolex (which has been handed down to me, and still keeps amazing time) My ‘moment’ watch, and dream purchase was in 2017, I had the best result ever in my sales career, and pulled the trigger on a watch I never thought I could afford, an Omega Planet Ocean Chrono. To this day, everytime I look at it, I’m filled with pride. That watch for me was a dream come true This year, I’ve eclipsed that 2017 result, and am currently waitlisted on a 226570. Best episode yet. Important conversation about how we celebrate important moments in life with watches we love. I always was interested in watches and admired many brands and models, but never got myself up to save some money. When after many years I got myself a steady job I decided to buy myself a first good watch - a Tissot Sailing Touch. I decided on sports model so I could wear it everyday. It is a bit banged up now and I don’t wear it too often, but would never sell it. My collection is still small, but some of my watches were bought because of some point in time of my life. A Longines Hydroconquest when I got my current job and my financial situation improved. A cheap Aviator quartz I bought, cause we had it in our offer for our customers. I also now wear a Tissot Le Locle I bought for my father, from overseas job, as a gift. My father is now gone and the watch made a full circle, returning to me with a whole bag of memories. Now I got a promotion and I think this year it is time for a automatic chronograph. I really like a certain Certina. Or maybe an Edox. We’ll see.

This is one of my favorite episodes, felt super genuine. Meaningful watch for me is a OG bond Omega seamaster 300M. Given to me for university graduation by my grandmother. Until I could really start forwarding to get more into the watch hobby, I wore this all day every day through medical school, residency, and still today. Holds a ton of memory.

Communion certainly happens here in Austria, My lovely old patient who passed away last year gave one to his daughter and then gave one to his Grandson ( Breguet). He was 99 when he passed. He was a top official in the civil service here and I nursed him for the last 2 years of his life in Covid, he was a wonderful old chap. His family knowing I love watches gave me his retirement present, a 1987 Omega Manhattan as a keepsake. He wore it all the time and just before he passed I brought my small watchmaking kit with me to replace the battery in it, he died two weeks later. It now is the most valuable material item I own along with my mothers wedding ring and I wear both with enormous pride and gratitude. I look at both and see the scratches and marks on them and my memories of my mum and this dear old chap come flooding back.

Epic! The best episode so far. I think it's so important to personally have so many emotions attached to a timepiece that it's absolutely irreplaceable. I went through a massive GShock phase and ended up purchasing a Frogman 35th Anniversary for my wedding. Got a lot of flack for it initially because I was rocking it with a blazer on my wedding day. However, I still wore it and did so even on my honeymoon in Italy. It's still with me after nearly 5 years and something I'll never ever let go off, even though my taste and collection has evolved over the years.

I inherited a small amount of money from her and spent it all on a titanium Chopard Mille Miglia, a watch that I Iusted after but couldn’t afford on my own at that point. Just an amazing episode, guys! You keep taking this to a new level 👏 I just got into mechanical watches about 18 months ago, partially because no one in my family ever wore something of such value apart from the women's engagement/wedding rings. I didn't want to be seen as showing off. But here I will share a bit about the most challenging month my wife and I ever experienced this past June. Unfortunately, our 1 month-old niece passed away suddenly just two weeks before the due date of our 4th baby. She wasn't our child, but with the timing of it my wife had to put her emotions into a tight box. I don't think I've cried so much in my life. Shortly after our son was born, my brother in London got the call to pick up my Tudor Harrod's Black Bay. This is a big green unit of a watch, and he is a big chunky baby named Sage - this one is his. A couple weeks later, after months of researching, I pulled the trigger on a beautiful silver and blue Arabic DateJust which is no longer in production. This reminds me of dear little Addy who is no longer with us. And I'll leave it at that.

When my Mum passed away in Oct 21 she left a small amount of AUD behind. Rather than pay a bill, I thought I'd buy something much more sensible...I now have the Tag Monaco in blue with the 02 movement and bracelet ...have just swapped out the bracelet for a light grey isofrane strap. Whatever the bracelet or the strap, the blue reminds me of mums blue eyes every time I wear it 🙏....and for once, my wife even agreed 👍

What an incredibly deep episode. Every watch that I have in my collection marks a deep moment or has a personal story behind it whether in life or from a career standpoint and that is why I can never understand the concept of flipping watches as it is just too sentimental. When I first graduated from school, my father bought me a Seiko 5 which will never leave my collection. This was a watch he bought for me to mark my transition into adulthood. I will never forget that father and son moment and I returned the gesture many years later. Growing up, my father was always very frugal and he never really owned anything luxurious but to put the needs of the family first. A couple of years ago, I got him a vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1500 for his 70th birthday. He loves the watch very much and he wears it on special occasions.

Every watch I own has a special meaning to me. A few years ago I hit a goal I wanted to achieve at work and bought an Omega aqua terra gmt chronograph because I wanted a sports watch. However emotionally this watch is so insignificant compared to my dad’s watch which became mine when he passed away. I wear it when we go out as a family with my children so he is there with us. At around 14 years old every Saturday I would take my pocket money, head into town on the bus, buy a CD from the music store, an iced pastry from the local bakers and then without fail every Saturday head to the jewellers to look at watches. For 2 years I yearned for 1 watch in that shop... A Casio CMD-40 TV remote/calculator watch, which I finally got for my Christmas from my late father. It was the coolest gadget in the world and my eyes, and was absolutely the gateway drug into watches which has blossomed into full blown addiction some 20 years later. Absolutely delighted to see my 5 year old son now taking interest in his dad's old relics (and new ones) and look forward to passing him down some of my watches in years to come.
