This is wonderful, and the musicianship is excellent.

Thanks for the video, the march starting at 03:14 is a Swedish march, "Under blågul fana" in English, "Beneath the Blue and Yellow Banner", composed by Victor Widqvist not later than 1916.

Another trip abroad, a different Changing Guard, but the same bearskin as the British Guards'? Beautiful marches on their very long walk to get to destination! About idiot civilians, sadly they are...everywhere, even in Denmark🙄 Thank you M.E. for this amazing video - well filmed, clear sound - and your great job away from home! I liked and appreciated👏👏

Yes, they are both made from Canadian black bears. The designs are somewhat different, though.

And the British Guards adopted the bearskin headgear following their defeat of Napoleon's lmperial Guard at Waterloo, 18 June 1815.

Yes, and the Danish life guard adopted them in 1805. It is originally a French fashion.

Thanks for bringing us this excellent video, Military Events! I thought that both the band at the front, and the Corps of Drums (if I've got the correct term) sounded very good indeed. Interesting for me to see the different instruments, for example they have both trumpets and cornets, and as well as a euphonium, they have "baritones" (or it may be a baritone and a tenor horn) in the 2nd and 3rd rows (ranks) giving a rather different sound. I hope that floor with the pattern on it near the beginning wasn't as slippery as it looks!

@MikeM14-40 I believe they also use a soprano clarinet!!!

@MikeM14-40 Hello Mike, beautiful video, a different changing guard, an excellent Band, but my favorites are always the British Guards❤️ I'm watching TV now, a press report says Islam is penetrating into England😡😡 Noo please, people STAY ENGLISH, STAY BRITISH, STAY as you were born!!!

@@militaryevents107 Yeah, I've found them! At 09:00 and 10:06 they can be seen on the far side in the last-row-but-one - the really short clarinets. Also, now on this side, at 15:13 and maybe other places as well. At the other end of the scale, the Household Cavalry band in Windsor on Tuesday (17 Dec) had a bass clarinet! That was as well as the usual baritone sax. It can be seen (only just!) in my own video, but probably more clearly in Peter's video and Lenny's video. It was between the baritone sax and the euphonium.

@@AlbaAlba-fg2io Hello Alba, yes, lots of changes in Britain going on all the time. Anyway, I don't know when I'll next go to Windsor, because the weather looks as if it might be quite horrible tomorrow. I'll just have to see how it looks very early in the morning.

Not a dragoon in sight; the Lifeguards are light infantry.

You obviously have the same problem in Denmark as we have in the UK with idiot civilians not getting out of the way of the military trying to do their jobs.
@allanchrist27 минут бұрын
I have never heard of that being a problem in Denmark. The police are walking in advance and they are making sure that the route is clear for the parade. I was a guard 💂♀️ in my military duty.
