QUESTION OF THE DAY: Does this laser have all the features your looking for? Would you use the plumb points feature more than the cross line laser feature?
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
@Lyle Spicker Sorry if the video went long. There's lot of great features to demonstrate.

I bust out laughing 2:56 😂😂😂 Never ever thought someone would have an arrow selfie-stick 😂😂😂 Good idea bad color. Outline it in yellow... Or paint it pink then it doubles as a fairy wand 😂
@MarkThomasBuilder2 ай бұрын
Glad to hear you like my idea, lol! It didn't take me long to realize that I needed to outline it, which I did. If you watch some recent videos, you'll see it outlined in bright white. 🙌

Did you find that the base is wiggly on the laser?
@garyobrien26173 жыл бұрын
thanks for helping me pick which one of these to buy, before I do, do you know the angle of the horizontal line? im cladding a house and would need to transfer levels around it but wouldn't want to move it too much?
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
The horizontal line will self level if it's within 4 degrees of level. There isn't an elevation meter that tells you the height number. Unfortunately, you'll have to put a pencil mark at each corner of your house and use that at the starting point for the next side of your house. Another idea is to put a mark on a nearby tree or post and use that to guide your elevation on a couple sides of the house. Hope that helps.

Does those laser pivoting on the plumb spot? So when you turn laser plumb spot will stay on the same spot like on bosch lasers?
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
Yes, this self levels very similar to the Bosch lasers I've reviewed on my channel.

How do I know when it's fully charged? I just put it to charge like 20 mins ago and the green light is blinking, is that fully charged or does it have to be solid green?
@MarkThomasBuilder2 жыл бұрын
It needs to be a solid green to be fully charged. I recall the charging time to be around 30 minutes or so.

I’m new to DIY and I would like to retile my shower pulling out the fiberglass shower insert. Would you suggest I get the 3 point laser since it’s a little cheaper or go with the laser that actually draws a line? Thanks for the excellent video.
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
I would go with the cross line for that project. You will easily find more uses for it once you get it.

i keep seeing reviews online about the magnets being weak on these lasers, could you test them out on a corner bead some form of slightly covered metal surface? it does look like a fairly bulky laser so im curious how the weight affects the battery
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
I'll see what I can do. The magnets are nice for metal doors and work chests.
@yes_its_christ2 жыл бұрын
I have this laser and it has a super hard time grabbing on a corner bead, due to it being very front heavy. Anything else this laser grabs on hard. Although I use mine on it’s tripod most of the time.

Human eye detects green much better than red, so would need a more powerful laser in red to match the green. One question to check, which one is more visible when used outdoors. IIRC, green still wins.
@MarkThomasBuilder4 жыл бұрын
Yes, green is a good choice for lasers.

Do the cross line not have adjustment?
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there's a micro adjust on that. Sorry if I didn't show it in this video.

Hello, im an electrician looking for a laser that will run across the ceiling about 30 feet to get all my lights in a row in a straight line. Nobody really covers that situation, will the milwaukee lasers do that ? Thanks
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
This will definitely do that. I could demonstrate it in a gym that has ceilings close to 25' high. I could post a Instagram Reel on it this week if you follow me over there. Another thing I'll have on my channel soon is the 165' Milwaukee Laser Detector which will work outdoors and indoors for long distances or extremely bright lighting that could dull the green high intensity laser from being seen.

@@MarkThomasBuilder awsome, thank you
@rickrutledge40413 жыл бұрын
I would have to buy the cheapest one so it looks like I could use the $299 model 3521-21, correct because the point laser only makes a point on the ceiling. Just want to make sure i purchase the correct one. Thanks for your time.

I seen the comparison of the lasers you had in there, have you put them at a larger distance m12 vs the usb version say at like 85’ side by side? I’m very interested, I just don’t want to get one that’s significantly weaker at a distance for a few less bucks. Thanks for the videos, very informative and helpful!
@stanislavvovk66743 жыл бұрын
So, you can only charge a battery when it is in laser? Nowhere near 180° angles on the lines? Not impressed, too many flaws, especially for the price, and that only judging from the video. Milwaukee, back to the drawing board, I will stick to my Leica L2G.
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
That is correct for charging. I've reviewed other brand cross lasers and they aren't nearly as wide as this one. You may want to look at the M12 3-Plane Laser for the features you mentioned.
@stanislavvovk66743 жыл бұрын
@@MarkThomasBuilder well, for a start, not everyone needs a 360 laser, which is a lot more expensive, much bigger and bulkier, and if I would need one, I would probably go for DeWalt one, it's a good 30% cheaper and has been around for a while. And don't get me wrong, I am not hating on Milwaukee, I am currently using M18 platform and I like it, I'm just looking at it from a consumer point of view and just can't justify the prices, if Milwaukee would be selling them 30-40% cheaper, than fair enough, you get what you pay, but as it is now, no thank you!
@thetoolman53803 жыл бұрын
@@MarkThomasBuilder If you have the Milwaukee Top Off or equivalent in another brand you can run this off a M18 battery. Granted you have usb cord to deal with but it will probably run for days and its quick to use in a pinch. Tons of 10foot USB cords out there. Heck of a lot cheaper than running to the store for AA batteries. Time is money.

wtf is a plumb point?
@MarkThomasBuilder3 жыл бұрын
It's the way to put a dot on the floor perfectly straight up to the ceiling or vise versa. It replaces a plumb bob, which is an old tool they used to build the pyrimids.
