Milwaukee M18 FUEL 15mm Random Orbital Polisher Bare Tool - imp.i284638.ne...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Detailing cars can be fun with the right equipment. Too much vibration with a Random Orbital polisher can not only make paint correction annoying but can also cause long-term damage. Milwaukee Tool came out with a new 15mm polisher that has great power and ergonomics. The vibration felt through the handle is minimal. Milwaukee Tool is really working hard to create great tools for the automotive professional. This new polisher proves that only the best is coming from Milwaukee Tool these days.
M18 FUEL 15mm Random Orbital Polisher Kit (2684-22HD)

• RPM: 2,650-5,100 RPM
• Tool Length: 17.26”
• Tool Weight (w/o battery): 5.16 lbs.

I recently bought this polisher and currently have the DeWalt version, my helper uses the DeWalt allot so i bought the Milwaukee for myself, i feel it's a little lighter or balanced, and the battery lasts very very long, very happy investment

BEST CAR DETAIL POLISHER ON THE MARKET. MILWAUKEE ALWAYS MAKES THE BEST TOOLS IN QUALITY AND ENDURANCE AND THE LITHIUM BATTERS ARE THE BEST IN POWER AND LONGEVITY AS WELL.

I have the non-rob version of this and really like it. I do like the way Milwaukee turned the battery sideways on the ROB version because I tend to bump the battery on the car once in a while. I can do a large wagon with a 5 amp battery. It is very quiet but I still wear hearing protection because the I am concerned about the high pitched brushless whine it gives out.

Great review! Right now, I have/use the DeWalt cordless, but I'm really looking at both this 15mm and the 21mm version.

I've been in the process of testing this one and the 21mm. (I've tested about 10 of the other cordless ones on the market last year).. It's one of the heaviest on the market, but it wears the weight well. It isn't the smoothest, but it isn't unbearable. Never once did I think "this needs more power". The battery charge times are great. Run times are great. The only two things I wasn't happy with: the part of the polisher that the battery attaches to doesn't stay tight. It seems like it would be a weak point, especially if dropped. Second: the gear noise is awful. Sounds like they cheaped out with the machining.

@@ciprian6909 I've seen the FLEX XFE stall like crazy (pass). If you're a diehard FLEX fan, then go with the FLEX "XCE" Forced Rotation Dual-Action cordless. It'll set you back around $600 w/2 batteries and charger w/ a 1-year warranty and FLEX are now made in China and not Germany. With a forced rotation dual action polisher you will get around a vehicle in half the time then with an orbital dual action. That's just a fact. With a forced rotation DA, every movement is work getting done because there is no stalling. There is a small learning curve, but be ready and use plenty of product.

Milwaukee had 2 years to make this better than the Dewalt. Dewalt's DA came out 2 years ago. It's also about $30 cheaper than the DeWalt.

Seems like the rpms are too high you can easily burn through the paint if you're not paying attention
@efrenjimenezcruz
@efrenjimenezcruz 2 жыл бұрын
It is a little higher of rpm to start but being a random orbital I think it’ll be a bit harder to burn through clear coat. Ofc also depends how much pressure and what pad you use as well depending on what type of car it is

@terrywalters5410
@terrywalters5410 Жыл бұрын
You would have to sit on an edge of your average thickness of clear coat for a really long time to burn through with a new style DA like this. Burning through was a problem with the old school rotary buffers :-)
