Omg I'm Turkish and I was so excited to see baklava! About whom does baklava belong to, I think it belongs to all those nations who has their own kind of baklava. Because all those nations used to live together side by side in the same country, The Ottoman Empire. They used to live together so cultural exchange and cultural similarities are inevitable. But they all have their own kind of baklava. We're not so different, we actually have really similar cultures. It's pointless to fight over that. Let's just all enjoy baklava!😊 Btw I love your videos, much love from Turkey❤❤

Baklava is more than the Ottoman empire. Its heritage goes further and wider as part of Greater Mesopotamia. From Egypt to the borders of India, the cuisines have many common threads. Grilled meats/kebabs, flatbreads, and of course our beloved baklava. Still I echo the heartwarming sentiments above.

I'm Greek, and I agree with this ❤️ (just excited to see baklava on here) i do make my baklava a bit different than what was shown here, doing nuts sprinkled a little throughout each of the layers instead of just twice. And, for the syrup, I use orange zest/juice instead of lemon, and honey instead of sugar (not very vegan, i know 😅)

@@DiamondFizzy You're right, I just used The Ottoman Empire as an example. English is not my first language, sorry if it was misleading. What I was trying to say is we all kinda live next to each other so of course our foods will be similar even the same. But everybody can enjoy it!

Hi Mina! Would you like to try Chinese food for the breakfast video? I'm from Shanghai, and here are some of my favourites that do not use a lot of ingredients: adzuki bean bun (sweet), bok choi and shiitake mushroom bun (savoury), Chongming rice cake (sweet). Then of course hot, homemade soy milk is the best! If you prefer something smooth and porridge-like, I would recommend glutinous rice dumplings. You can eat the kind with fillings on its own, or for the tiny ones without filling, I prefer to have them with either adzuki bean soup or fermented glutinous rice. I'd love to show you my grandma's recipes if you would like them!

im brazilian and the brigadeiros look so good!! i love how meticulous u were with it, here we just slap whatever chocolate we have + condensed milk n call it a day haha, but i wonder if u couldve used a nut butter instead of making ur own condensed milk? also 2 things: 1. depending on how long u cook it for, u could also use brigadeiro for cake fillings ! theres like specific times and "points" for each use so u could look that up since u liked it so much haha and 2. if u want tidier brigadeiros, they say to roll it, cover in sprinkles, and then roll it AGAIN so they look like neat balls

A typical Chinese breakfast would be dumplings/ jiaozi. It can be made vegan very easily and tbh it’s not something that the world hasn’t discovered yet😂 I like to make them with tofu, zucchini and maybe glass Nudeln would be nice. My family often has it with sweet mungo beans soup. So good!

Great video! I'm from Greece, so I'm going to recommend you two popular greek savoury breakfasts: Spanakopita (spinach pie, very often they also add feta) and Tiropita (feta cheese pie). In these two savoury pies, you can use phyllo sheet, but many people (and in bakery) use something more crusty. Like shortcrust dough, but of course shaped like a typical Spanakopita or tiropita. A common breakfast here in Greece is: Bougatsa (phyllo sheet with semolina custard cream and topping with powdered sugar and cinnamon (cosy)). 💗

Hey Mina! Thank you for these recipes, they all look great! For breakfast, I would love to see you try making vegan arepas or cachapas. Arepas are a traditionally Colombian and Venezuelan breakfast food made from a maize dough. Colombians tend to make them flat and top them with butter while Venezuelans make them thicker so that they can cut them in half and stuff them with different fillings (i love having them with avocado!). My mom has always made arepas growing up and they are super tasty! Cachapas are another traditional Venezuelan breakfast food. They are almost like a pancake but are made from a sweet corn batter. I hope you decide to try making these!!

Most countries in Latin America have their own version of the Tres Leches cake. Here in Chile we eat it a lot! it's one of my faves to make and one of the first recipes I veganized when I became a vegan few years ago. I usually soak the sponge cake in a mixture of evaporated and sweetened condensed milk (both vegan ofc!) and add a layer of dulce de leche between the layers of cake and cover the whole thing with whipped coconut cream. Btw I love your videos, hope you have a nice day!

They all look so good, I want to try them all! Your brigadeiros look pretty authentic to me, I'll be writing down that condensed milk recipe. As for breakfast, I think you could try to make tapioca! I had it a lot growing up in Brazil. You just sift hydrated tapioca starch, add salt and fry a layer of it in a non-greased frying pan until it sticks together and form a sort of thin pancake. Then you flip it and fry the other side for one or two minutes and it's done! I usually have it with butter and scrambled tofu or with a chocolate hazelnut spread. I recommend you look for a proper recipe, since I don't know if you can find tapioca starch that is already hydrated, and I just eyeball the thickness of the layer, but having measurements might help it turn out soft and chewy. You can also make them small pancake-sized circles - it's easier to flip.

To make the brigadeiros, we can use banana biomass as a regular condensed milk's substitute for those who want to be fit or use cashew's nut milk+sugar+powder cocoa to have a more similar result to the original recipe.
@livia9148
@livia9148 2 жыл бұрын
My grandma is dieting and found an easy healthier recipe for it. You just grab two ripe bananas and microwave till they are soft. Than you mix cacao powder and powdered coconut milk until it turns into a thick mass(I think it's 5tbsp but I'm not sure). (I also mixed in vanilla, coffee and salt) You can either freeze it and roll it or eat it with a spoon.

OMG! Love it. For breakfast ideas, please try to make dosa from the south of India. People are usually very familiar with the north but not so much with the south. It is basically like a crispy savory crepe and you can use many different types of filling but the batter is made very differently from a crepe batter (dosa batter is made us of rice). You can make masala potato or baked potato filling and also enjoy it with a chutney (basically basil/ curry leaves grind).

I’m from Chile and one of my favorite Chilean dessert it’s “Mote con Huesillo” basically “mote” it’s "wheat" and “huesillos” are dry peaches. this recipe its like boba but in a Chilean version hahaha. You cook the peaches with cinnamon, cloves, orange and lemon peals, vainilla and mascabado sugar, boiled that, let it cool. Cook the mote and then serve in a large glass, put the "mote" first then 1or 2 "huesillos" and then put the liquid of the "huesillos" and you're done Or you can do “sopaipillas pasadas” It's a dough made with squash that is fried and then boiled in a syrup. first you make the dough with: 2 cups flour 1 cup with pumpkin 2 tablespoons oil 1/2 glass of hot water 1 tablespoon of salt Mix everything, knead for 10 minutes, then stretch the mixture and make circles that are fried in oil. For the syrup you combine muscovado sugar, all spices, orange and lemon peel, being that to boiled. Dip the dough m in the syrup, bring to a boil again and serve.

I would say lamington is a better known Australian dessert, but fairy bread is great! Not sure I agree with the comment about using the cheapest stuff you can. For me, it's about using soft fresh bread, salted butter and 100s and 1000s (not sprinkles). Lovely combination of sweet and salty! Breakfast idea! I'm American and the first food I learned to make for myself was German pancake (pretty sure it's not German at all). I've heard people call them dutch babies at all. I've never been able to get a vegan version right. The regular recipe is: - 1 cup flour -1 cup milk - 2 eggs (sea level) or 4 eggs (high elevation) 1. Put a cast iron skillet or glass baking pan with a few tablespoons of butter in am oven towards the end of its preheating to about 450°F (this is a very finicky recipe depending on a lot of factors like elevation, temperature, and your oven) 2. While skillet is heating, mix the flour and milk very well while eggs get to room temperature on the counter (we put eggs in the fridge is the US). I use a bowl and a fork, my mom has started using a blender in recent years. 3. Once oven is preheated and butter is browned, mix in the eggs and pour immediately in hot skillet. Butter should be so hot if one drop of batter goes in, it fries and cooks in a couple seconds. 4. Bake in preheated oven for 18-25 minutes until edges are browned. Ideally the the crust should have risen high and my family likes it when the middle is puffy as well. 5. Serve with lemon juice and powdered sugar. I've tried making this vegan a few times and have never had success. It's hard because the flavors and ingredients are so simple and that egg really does all the magic. I haven't had a true German pancake since I went vegan and it makes me so sad. It was a childhood staple for me. Note: I've been told this is also similar to popovers and Yorkshire puddings.

Hey I’m from Sweden and I feel a really classic breakfeast we have are pancakes! They are not like american pancakes but more like thin pancakes. In the recipe it’s eggs but a veganised version is with oil instead:D if you want to try out the pancakes here’s the recipe: (For about 10 pancakes) 4dl wheatflour 7dl non diary milk 0,5dl oil 0,5 teaspoon salt vegan butter to cook in 1. Whisk togheter the flour and milk. Add the oil and salt. 2. Fry the pancakes in vegan butter in a small pan. (You want to pour batter so it almost covers the whole pan and add a lot of butter so the pancake doesn’t stick. You add some butter after every pancake) Then you serve the pancakes and eat it with jam! My favourite is rasberry or blueberry jam!:D enjoy!

you can make condensed milk with 1 cup of raw or soaked cashews, 3/4 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup water. Just blend it until its really smooth and it's ready to use. It's way faster than using plant milk and waiting for ir to reduce in the pan.

hello there Mina, i'd like to share a few venezuelan desserts for you to try: chicha, majarete, jalea de mango, quesillo, polvorosas, golfeados, torta negra, torta de plátano criolla, torta de queso, bienmesabe (i couldn't translate this one lol it only makes sense in spanish), ponche crema, dulce de guayaba, dulce de lechosa, dulce de plátano y buñuelos de yuca, some of these are actually vegan, same thing goes to savory ones 💛 love you! your content is amazing xx

Yum 😋 I want to suggest you try a traditional Syrian breakfast called Fool Mudamas. It’s a dish with warmed canned fava (‘fool’ in Arabic) and garbanzo beans with a yogurt, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice sauce poured over it. It’s eaten with pita bread and is super filling! Enjoy!

Hello!! I love all your videos. Do the breakfast from Portugal "meia de leite com torradas" it is really simple. For "meia de leite" that means half of milk you will put in a mug half of milk of your choice (I prefer almond milk) with half of coffee. For "torrada" that means toast, you will need two thick slices of packaged bread, toast them and put some vegan butter on it. It is delicious!!

Hello, I'm French and wanted to add an anecdotic fact on the "pain au chocolat": there is an ideologic fight about the way we should name them. In the South of France, we call that "Chocolatine" but in the rest of the country you call them "Pain au chocolat". This is a very strong convention.
