My vote is for you to get the MP10 ReadySet and, while changing nothing but what can be adjusted with a screwdriver or wrench, run it on track during a practice sesh or sommat. Stock transmitter, receiver, servos, pull start engine, the works. Bonus points if you've got your pit guy using the recoil starter and a squeezy bottle like beginners will do. Show us how fast the everyman's RTR race buggy is.

It's been on my mind to do this actually! Will see if time allows! Thanks for the comment and idea! :-)

@@RyanLutz Ye I have personally recommended that car to people thinking of dabbling in 1/8 nitro buggy racing and have seen many others do so. Affordable, reliable engine, tons of support. All the goodies from your flagship car should bolt onto it even, which gives the beginner an upgrade path to make the car improve as they improve as a driver. The one thing I would not use, even if the rest of the car is 100% out of the box stock, is the receiver power solution. Kyosho still loves to put those god awful 4x AA alkaline holder things in their nitro ReadySets and we both know how *not ideal* those things are. One hard landing pops a cell out --> runaway. Duracells can't supply much current. Bleh. AMain's got a lovely little 2s1900 LiFE battery the same dimensions and I use a ton of those in my stuff. My default car receiver battery and I even use some in my airplanes. Would be a good idea to explain why those holders should never be used outside of bench testing/setup as newbies won't know any better. I got one of those with my HPI WR8 as well. They're handy for binding receivers on the workbench but I would never operate a model with one.
