Hey mate. As someone who’s battled shoulder and back injuries for the better part of a decade, on top of laziness, this is really inspiring. To see someone as advanced as you pull the intensity and volume right back, check your ego at the door and just focus on what you’re capable of doing is amazing. Much respect mate

same....I started to use incline bench on the smith.....stabilising the dumb bells was the difficult part not the press...the smith allows me to get into a the most comfortable position and also the security of the stopper springs...smith get unnecessary backlash but if you're older or dealing with injury I wouldn't use anything else for pressing

Thanks Adam, I am suffering from a shoulder injury for a while and soon I will have a shoulder surgery. Although I have been training consistently for years and I own a lot of MAPS workouts programs, all your comments, cues & exercises demonstrations help me SO much. Your vulnerability, integrity and work ethic are actually providing with what I need right now to attack my shoulder rehab appropriately. THANKS

I love your comment on how we are chasing aesthetics but to "hang in there". Such a true statement and how easy it is to fall into the trap of not seeing the progress or putting too much value in a number. Can't tell you how many times I've fallen into that mindset. Thank you again for sharing another amazing video. All really great insights to what you are thinking, feeling, and experiencing.

Hey Adam 10 years ago I got into fitness and the bodybuilding world and I filtered through a lot until I happened upon your journey and Mindpump and similar to you eventually got on stage. Now about to turn 33 over the last year I have really fallen off in regards to my self care with fitness and nutrition focusing more on career and I’ve had trouble finding motivation to get myself back to the gym so I guess I just want to say thank you to you for being this transparent and in doing so inspiring me enough to check my ego and believe it’s okay to start from scratch regardless of where I was 5-6 years ago.

Hey Mind Pump Team! Quick question about the MAPS 15 Minutes Advanced program. Since each phase targets different goals (Phase 1: 10 reps for hypertrophy, Phase 2: 15 reps for endurance, Phase 3: 5 reps for strength), is the 1-minute rest period optimal across all phases? Should rest times vary to better match the specific goals of each phase? If so, what rest durations would you recommend for each phase? Thanks for all the great info and support you provide through your programs and podcast!

So here is a business idea for y'all. Have Mind Pump gyms with personal trainers taught by you as a chain around the country starting with Knoxville TN. I know I am not the only one that would spend the extra $$ on this and I know I'm not the only one that wants to get fit and healthy.

Adam: once you start tracking your food, since you are wanting to build muscle but also decrease your body fat, will you have to go into a calorie deficit or surplus? Thanks.
@samdelaet3587Ай бұрын
Once I started lifting my GLP-1's did nothing. Max dose didn't even matter(Saxenda). I watched a post cast with the Hostel sups owner talking to a Doctor about this and he said that the muscle work metabolizes the meds before they can take effect. I found that to be true. A friend who was on it and still is got super super skinny but also did zero exercise or weight training lost 100lbs. I lost 45lbs on it with little exercise but knew I was going to lift again. So I got off of it and just watch my macros and lift. I'm 44 not trying to impress anyone...eat, lift, be strong.

As always great stuff Adam. Couple of questions. I can’t remember if you mentioned this specifically on the podcast but when you got injured by the wake, did you do anything specific besides bpc-157 to help with the healing? Any rehab or physio work or did you want an « ok » to start training again from a medicine practitioner? Or is it all based on feel? Also how much do you think bpc-157 would help with a small tear in the long head bicep cartilage? Waiting to hear back on cortisone shots and now wondering if bpc-157 would be better. Any thoughts?
