No squats in 4 months; goes deeper than I legit ever have. The mobility is fantastic 🔥

It’s not just his mobility. He has very, very long shins and torso and is built for squats optimally you can see when he bends down how long his shins are. Don’t be hard on yourself. Most people can’t do this.
@tiagohoshi75854 ай бұрын
@@IRON-PHOENIX Other way around, long femurs make it harder for him to squat with full depth. Just a lot of mobility work.
@IRON-PHOENIX4 ай бұрын
@@tiagohoshi7585 short femurs and long shins and long torso then I get them mixed up lol or whatever people who can squat forward like that with both legs relatively straight isn’t just mobility work. There’s only so much mobility u can do to fix ankles he also have very flexible ankles. Also he hasn’t done this in 4 months so his mobility wouldn’t be as good. This is genetics majorly I’ll edit my original thanks for the correction

I'm really pumped about this series and can't wait to see your journey of rebuilding! I loved how you shared your experience throughout; it felt like I was right there in the studio with you! Watching you go through the movements was beneficial, but what especially got my interest was your explaining your choices for reps and weights, along with your strategy for progressive overload-how you're navigating to find that ideal 'sweet spot' for growth-really awesome! Plus, your quick chat with Sal was a highlight-- I'm a sucker for your interactions! Thanks for being so open about your journey and sharing it with us! Can't wait for the next episode!

I am going to love this video series. I love hearing Adam explain the thought process behind the movements chosen as well as the sets and reps. It is great insight into how to approach fitness in a healthy, positive mindset. I think this will help promote a much healthier connection to working out for myself and probably a lot of other people as well. I can't wait to see how this progresses. Additionally, I love the music in the background. That is the kind of gym music I grew up with. Rock on, guys!

Go get it, Adam! I had a good thing going with 2 years of consistent strength training after Covid-19 essentially eliminated my position in IT and was home for that time job searching. I had to do something for work and now am a mail carrier sub working 60-70 hour 6-7 day weeks since last September. Training slowed and eventually stopped by New Year's. I'm making this Adam Day 1 video my inspiration to fire things up again this same MAPS 15 style in hopes of regaining my consistency, just having turned 59. Love Adam and have tremendous respect for all the guys. Listen to the podcast religiously, trying to catch up being 3 months behind. Kick Sal's arse 😆

This was a great video! Your willingness to be open about "starting over" will help so many people truly realize that this is a process and following that process consistently is more important than where we may be starting from. Knowing that is one thing, but feeling that way is something else entirely and, often times, not feeling that way is what causes people to give up. You're someone that many people turn to for advice and if you're starting over, then people will feel like it's ok for them to start over, or even start for the first time. Thank you for being open about this- I think that alone will be as impactful as the great advice/info you all provide on your podcasts/videos.

I broke my humerus and the debilitating was definitely felt in chest and back imbalance compensating for the injury. Doing a pretty simple 2 exercise workout days like this(incline chest press and squats) has been a game changer for recovery. The 3x/wk all body were wrecking me for recovery. I will slowly add in more as it feels better. Felt that for the embarrassment in a commercial gym because the weights are definitely lower than someone our size looks like they can do.
