Really love this design. It's shape is so varied, nice to look on, and yet certainly looks believable. Also like your general use of bricks on the outside - cobble on the inside. Not sure why, but it just adds something to the whole structure, from the outside.

Building this with new nether blocks and it looks awesome! Replace cobble with blackstone, bricks with blackstone bricks, oak logs with crimson stem, and oak wood with nether brick! Looks amazing

Hi Madnes...I watch your videos, like someone else stated, just to see your wonderful creations. I find it absolutely amazing how you are so creative with a bunch of square blocks. I have used some of your techniques on my server to the likes of making a "round" room out of square blocks. i tried this with spruce instead of oak and it looked great, i also think birch and dark oak would look really nice and maybe acacia due to the colour of the logs, i would say jungle is a no go

to combat the staircases going sideways i just reverse the way the stairs are in the middle and replacing oak for spruce is really nice

not a bad design, took me about 30 min on a survival server to build this. Instead of cobble in the small portcullis Windows you have between the fences I put light stones and then put fences all the way in between. Gave it a more "ominous" air at night and it helps keep mobs from spawning on the roof. 10/10 great build.

So my kids got me into Minecraft, I decided to look up a good seed and play on my old ps3. Started building a castle on a mountain then decided it was looking so plain... little did I realize there were so many tutorials for cool builds. I changed the working blocks to match up to my castle... But they look phenomenal... thanks

madnes, I have watched alot of your videos and your designs have really changed my concepts on medieval builds, and although I try not to do total copies, I do like your idea on keeping things realistic in terms on functionality. I would really like to see you extend your designs into the other biomes like desert or jungle. Jamziboyminecraft has a good desert taste on builds, but they are not as realistic in design like yours. Anyways please keep the videos coming.
