Seige CJ i was thinking the same, i remeber how huge the 34 looked nxt to silvias, evo's ect. Next to the r35 it looks normal size but lines look much cleaner and proportionate than r35

If you look at the lap times the r34 was 3rd. I think a different course the r35s would destroy the modded r34

Gloxxify the R34 didn’t get a single clean lap. It got held up the entire race. I think it was clearly the fastest car here. Those R35’s were modded too btw.

The fact the R34 is a manual 💪🏾 you can tell it has more power/tq than the r35s but the time taken in between shifts adds so much time

The R34 GTR definitely is the fastest around the track, just that the difference of 1.2L makes a lot of difference in terms of torque to negate that 100 +kg difference. Tarzan Yamada is always a joy to watch. Love his character on screen XD

Sadly this R34 doesn't appear to be the same spec as the monster that was used in the 13yo classic "Amuse Supra Vs Mine's Skyline R34 " video by RomuJDM. I feel that Mine's R34 would have completely destroyed these R35's.

I've seen the mines r34 rev to over 9000 rpms in other videos , I wonder why Tarzan was only taking it up to 8000 rpms...

Stay too long in a gear on such a small track and you won't be running fast at all. MINE'S R34 has a lot of low RPM torque so Tarzan uses it to accelerate as quick as possible. The MINE'S car also doesn't have much top-end push. That car was tuned for the best acceleration which is what a track car needs to have. The R35s are quicker on the top-end because their maximum output kicks in at higher RPM.

I think to compare r35 max rpm 8000. So mine r34 must change gear at 8000rpm , look that rpm meter sticker, mine r34 can revv up to 9500.

The R34 might have won if the driver ran the engine to 9000rpm. He was shifting at 8000 each time. The Mine's engine revs to 9000.

That's mines r34 looked way more stable through the corners and underbraking, few more laps and the r34 would have won I think simply through the r35 overheating their tyres.

indeed. This is the evolution version of the older mines that was in the supra video.This one has 630 HP, the older one 600hp. But relatively speaking they are the same car. It would not have made a significant difference.
