Thank you very much for sharing this. It is way better than the terrible instructions my intercooler piping manufacturer chose to include. You made it real clear.

Great video, I live in the states and just ordered IKON charge pipes and air hose and this was the most helpful video to take out the turbo muffler 👍🏼 you can really hear the turbo now

Good video mate. Just fitted mine this morning. What a nightmare that T25 was on the resonator bracket. I got at it from below with a torx screwdriver. I found that a bit easier.

Just removed the resonator a couple of weeks ago in my 2012 R56 MCS automatic, I just couldn't get to that T25 screw so I just cut it out, as for more turbo sounds, I do have them, when I'm driving down the freeway here in Vegas and I let my foot off the gas pedal I get a sound I can best describe as the same sound you would hear when a Semi ( I think you call them articulated lorry) engine brakes and you hear that turbo flutter, but it's much much quieter in my mini

I just did this to my mini cooper and I was informed it would cause some pops and bangs but it did nothing sound wise.

Cant see why someone would tell you that, possibly some sound difference on the intake side but wont impact the exhaust sound. The purpose of the OEM resonator is to reduce the roar / whoosh noise that can often be associated with air passing through pipe work. By removing this resonator with a smooth bore hose the resistance is reduced. From a drivers perspective, after fitting this hose on its own, we did not perceive any increase in noise, but there was a noticeable change in the willingness for the engine to accelerate, which can be associated with the torque improvement and small gain in horsepower.

Hey i ordered a cold side and a hot side tube from ebay from different companies. Do they look similar? I have just received both and the top Drivers side UK with the bottom changed in the passenger side in the video look almost identical... where the ads wrong? And i have two of the same hoses... or they just look similar?

What is inside the OEM resonator/muffler? Why not just push a big hole saw through it?

Do you need to jack up the car for lower clamp? I know you said to but is it necessary as I don’t have a jack 🤣

Depends how low your car is I guess

Completely different engine. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_DLD_engine#DLD-416 so very much doubt this would fit

Hi no not really. Here is some info from the manufacture: The purpose of the OEM resonator is to reduce the roar / whoosh noise that can often be associated with air passing through pipe work.
