Mini cooper R56 DIY rocker cam cover gasket replacement. How to guide. Clubman R55 1.6 oil leak?

In todays video I replace the cam (rocker) cover gasket on my project Mini Cooper clubman R55.
These are prone to leaking, and also beware of buying cheap gaskets off ebay !!

Fantastic video. Definitely the best one I've seen on how to do this. The only difference is that I've seen other people put high temp sealer in the corners/bends of the valve cover.

Did you use any kind of sealant on the gasket at all?

Haynes recommend putting a small amount of rtv in a couple places where it’s prone to leaking

@@acra89 I've not had any leaks so far, also Haynes recommend you disconnect the battery to do anything :-)

@@trollmanrshaha you’re not wrong there 😄 I’m planning on keeping mine long enough I’ll do it, just prevents me having to take it apart again later
