It seems Isabelle is a wise girl when she refuses to join in on the Tesla cheering 🤭 Thanks for this sports game commentary 😁

Will pickup our new Mini SE on friday. Really looking forward to it. Great little fun car, which in my case will never see a HPC charger, so charging power means nothing to me. Even if the Mini could only charge with 11 kW max I would prefer it to the Tesla.
@patrickf23864 күн бұрын
I totally agree. The results are disappointing, but honestly fine for what is basically a commuter/city car. Also here (in Switzerland), used Teslas have dropped in value so badly, they're almost unsellable. 4-5 year old Minis Cooper SE's now often have the same residual value than equivalent Teslas, despite the small battery. And remember, those Teslas cost 50-60k back then. A friend of mine paid 65k back in 2019, and it's now almost completely worthless.
@michaelrichter25284 күн бұрын
@@patrickf2386 That is interesting. Do you happen to know why Teslas dropped so hard? Personally I would always take a Model 3 over a Mini Cooper. Is there a high supply of used Teslas, is the association with Elon a problem or do used Teslas have reliability issues?
@patrickf23863 күн бұрын
@@michaelrichter2528 There's several reasons imo. I do personally know of two people who sold their cars because of Elon. In addition to that, the Tesla dealer network/warranty and quality issues and repeated issues with FSD put some people off as well. All of my friends, who were early adopters, are now driving German EV's and they are super happy. The constant price slashing policy of Tesla also doesn't help with stable used car prices. You can now get a brand new Highland for around 40k, so why would you look for a 1-2 year old one, for 25-30k? This drags down prices of older Teslas too.

ID3 Pro has an updated battery with faster charging

But id3 pro has a bigger battery size.

@@Kortusmaximus all battery versions are faster now, see my seperate comment

All IDs have faster charging now. 10..80% charging times have fallen from more than 30 minutes to, in the case of ID.3: Pure: 25m, Pro: 24m, Pro S: 28m, GTX: 26m That's since the second tech-only facelift this year with software 5.0+ in all cars. And that's numbers from the configurator, conformed by all tests I've seen or read (and I watch/read a lot)

New ID3 has faster charging battery, 180 kW

with the 62 kwh package ?
@rmkkkk4 күн бұрын
@@yilmazdeniz443562 it's 160. 77 kWh 180. Still better than what Bjørn showed
@OenkePoenkeКүн бұрын
max power is just one parameter, what counts is the charging curve (it's flatness). You should know from Bjørn's videos. I don't give a flying anything on the max power. All ID/MEB battery versions are faster now, see my seperate comment. Slowest 10..80% 28 minutes, fastest 24 minutes. Pure is 25m now.

hopefully the model Y blade is not presented :) similar price with the model 3 :)

Rigged? Well, how do we know if the charging station is working optimally? Are we safe to say they output max kW during the test?
@OenkePoenkeКүн бұрын
obviously you don't know about Bjørn's testing methods. He's recording as many sessions as he can get and takes the fastest one. And also explains if there have been exceptions, and why.

You cannot compare a Tesla that has more space for cooling and 6kWh more battery in a very long car. The mini cooper should be compared with id3, 500e and 208 (ec4x is equivalent) where you have so much battery in a smaller and compact vehicle.
@davidglieder88624 күн бұрын
An id3 is waaay larger than 500e or mini. And considering the mini doesn’t have a frunk, it has more than enough space for cooling.
@ReximPL4 күн бұрын
I think Tesla is here because it has similar price (at least in Norway I think)
@OenkePoenkeКүн бұрын
@@davidglieder8862 true, and I gave you a thumbs up for that, but ID.3 in all battery versions is much faster since the second facelift this year, see my seperate comment.
