Wow! That hood fits really nicely! The welds look like they’re going to hold fine.

Awesome vid mike! the welds are starting to look MINT. FYI you are going to need a special tool to get your impeller shaft out for the bearing upgrade if you font already know that. I'll FB message you the link to the tool

I’m thinking about doing the engine cover and bulkhead while the engine is out right now. Thanks for the square tubing idea.

The square tubing turned out much better than I had hoped! Your build ended up running nicely from the vids I’ve seen!

I laughed really hard when you were giving examples of the welds at 10:51

Yes, do the pump shaft upgrade asap. My 250x went at 123 hours due to this issue, wasted the rod bearings. Also plugs every 25 hours. Supercharger rebuild at 100. Also in the 300x and above they added a oil fog tube for the supercharger to prevent corrosion.

This comment has forced my hand into making this upgrade a priority. Thank you!

Really interesting build, I'm glad I ran across this. I've watched most of your videos but had a question, do you have to put lights and a powered vent in this since it is not a PWC anymore but a boat?
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
Thanks! From the research i have done, Since the vessel is less than 16 feet, It does not require a powered vent fan, And does not require lights. When i take it to get inspected, I will update with that info.

In my amateur opinion, thoes welds are looking great! Are you planing on putting in gas struts?
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yep, Gas struts and i am going back and forth on the type of latch i want to use. Thinking about ditching the latch i have currently in lieu of the aero catch latches.

Mike why dont you put the throttle pedal on the floor instead of on the steering and no cable in your way so just build a pedal for the floor
@Localhost1274 жыл бұрын
with as much as the boat bounces around, i wanted to have a firm control over the throttle. With a foot throttle, When i hit a large wake my body will shift and it will make it a bit difficult to maintain steady throttle.
