One thing a lot of people miss on speakers is letting them play what they were intended... you will get better sound albiet "less bass" come through through adding Bass Blocker/Passive Crossover... especially if you're running speakers off the head unit/cd player. While the 6.5 is capable of some low it's not a sub... I appreciate your videos.

Should have drawn round original parcel shelf on to some mdf board and make your own shelf for some nice 6x9 and when you made your shelf with 6x9 speakers in you can cover it over with some audio material so you can't tell there is any speakers in plus you don't ruin your original shelf that's what I did with mine 👍 Great video though 👍👍

I knew where this was going , I did mine last year, spent months looking for the right ones , then bought exactly the same as you . Very clever idea to cut and use the old ones 😉 great as always 👍

Brilliant and totally agree makes all the difference to look stock like those.

Good job! I was wondering what to do about my speakers after I concluded they were an odd size (not to mention the three bolt fixing) and therefore difficult to source. Fortunately mine are both functional and mostly rust-free but I will consider your approach for a future upgrade.

Did you make sure the speakers were polarised?
@classicminiworkshop4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did notice that they no longer mark polarity on the terminals, I guess this is why you should always check.
