It doesn't have a HP on it. Must be that weak 😂 and yes a regular size spray gun would change the results. It's all about the CFM this is the lowest CFM gun across the board. Since it's small it's not trapping water like a big compressor right, specially if it never stop running. Water gets trapped when ever there's air reserved on the tank if I'm not mistaken.. I would not advise to use any mini gun to paint an entire car. I mean I'm sure it could be done but it's not anything I would suggest. The smallest gun I'd ever consider spraying an entire car with is the iwata LPH 300. I just uploaded a video Friday using that gun. You did go check it the video it's a great versatile gun and only uses like 7cfm and lays glassy.

Kid comes in does paint for us & loads of others. He barely glances at the compressor, doesn't do great cleaning his gun, it's a mess usually, Doesn't have an on-gun gauge, mixes clear in with base, does all them things you're not meant to do. Gun he uses is generally an absolute pos cheap unit, he's always covered in paint from head to toe. Every damn thing he paints looks factory - baffles me because he ain't doing anything how the "experts" say you ought. He takes a blowtorch to panels after clear to get shut of issues ffs.. a damn blowtorch. Leaves them flawless. I'm betting it's all about talent more so than equipment - certainly is in his case. Kids talented. Much like Mr Triggerman. Hand them a turd, you're still getting a diamond. Defies explanation. Kid doesn't wear a damn mask either, not ever. That bit bothers me, but he just shrugs.

A lot of this Hollywood /internet social media stuff is cool but there's really some people out there that are not working in those environments and are doing just as good of a job if not better. Watched and enjoyed the whole video, always educational no matter what from the man, Trigger. And brother, I have an issue, a personal request to call it like that. And it is : My work place uses 99% single stage, and the one we use that comes in 1L (33oz?), and it is very, very thick, molasses like. The box says 5-10% reducer but, even if I respect that, it's still thick and my Iwata W400 cant break up very well that paint on 1.3, even if I crank the pressure over 35psi (the fan is not even at max, it is dirty inside cuz of the old man who used it and idk how to repair it) and the paint comes all extremely orange peely (my prep work is decent to not be the fault here). And here's the thing, the black paint especially it is even thicker! So I rely on 15% reducing but its orange peely and it's tending to get runs. My technique is not that bad even though I am mostly a novice when it comes to automotive painting. Out of what I said, what would you personally recommend me doing my man Trigger, cuz your word is like honey to my ears (an idiom in my country). Greaterst regards from one of your disciples, cheers!
@thetriggerman9544 ай бұрын
Thank you brother, much appreciated. First and cheapest route. I would switch to a 1.4 set up. My Iwatas are all 1.4. it could be that the nozzle setup is too small, So a larger nozzle size then you can always dial in the fluid if you need to but the actual fluid coming out of the nozzle itself is so damn thick to where it's not atomizing it. I have had that happen in the past with Iwata spray guns. Maybe you could try a SATA jet, I have had better look sometimes with a SATA using super high solid clear it's like sometimes that Iwata It's so fine and delicate to where it doesn't break up that thick shit. But over reducing it will only lead to dieback, runs etc... on technical data sheet where you read the 10% reduction it should also say nozzle size range.
@spacegodmurder4 ай бұрын
@@thetriggerman954 Yes, it says 1.2/1.3 for HVLP based guns, and 1.3/4/5 for regular tech guns. On single stage we dont get dieback but runs ? Oh man, don't get me started, my knees run cold when that happens. And o yeah I forgot about solvent pops, they appear real quick. And regarding the black, I've noticed that some particles are already landing dry, so imagine bigger droplets, can't flow between one another and on top of that, dry spray (can't choose other hardeners unfortunately). My idea would be to try to add a little bit more thinner, check where the tangible spot is before I get runs
