Jessi!: love how much you care for the birds. There are circumstances in which some birds can leave their eggs for up to two weeks without returning (after laying but before starting to incubate them), and it may be hard to tell if it is truly abandoned. Don’t remove them and try to keep the area as calm and empty as possible for several weeks to 1 month before declaring it abandoned and removing the nest.

yeah, idk why but for several weeks i just don't feel hungry. i feel nauseous just eating a small plate of food. forget about eating 3 meals, i can barely eat 1 meal and a snack without feeling sick to my stomach. not intentionally trying to starve myself of course, i just don't feel hungry. weird.

@@Marina-pe1gx idk if it has a name but what helped me relearn how to recognize hunger and eat normally was this book called “Intuitive Eating”. From what I learned, when youve had a restrictive ED, your body learns to ignore hunger and you stop recognizing signals from your body being hungry as “time to eat something”. It’s sad how the disorder can make your own body forget it’s most basic survival instinct.

I would contact your local wildlife center/animal control regarding the eggs! I’ve done that for birds in my area and they have always helped me out and given me advice on what to do. There was a tiny crow just hanging out in a bush outside my house for hours last week and I was so scared something happened to it so I called animal control and when I described it they told me it was a fledgling likely just resting. They were right, the bird eventually got up and flew away and I still see it hanging out around my house almost every day 😭

As a South Carolinian and Hub City dweller, it kinda depends. In my area, people are the real deal when it comes to southern hospitality. Genuine kindness and out stretched arms. However, there are lots of areas where people are VERY fake about it and compete for the "I'm the best" badge. Also kinda depends on the family. There are the "oh my goodness, let's get you in this house and fed! I'll make you some sweet tea and take you in" types in family, but there are also those in my family who are the "oh my goodness, let me do this nice thing for you and then tell you why it's nice and that I'm a nice person" and fake smiling at people before whispering "let me tell you about that person in great detail" to every single person around them.

Love you Jessi! I’m a biologist and I would leave the eggs for now. Also, all of the myths about if you touch a baby or an egg the bird will abandon the nest is just that- a myth! You can sometimes scare a parent from the nest and occasionally they will abandon it but it sounds like you have done everything you can. 💕I also had a miscarriage last July at 10 weeks and I’m now 28 weeks pregnant, I’m so happy that you are pregnant and doing well and can’t wait to watch you throughout your pregnancy!
