My old horizontal chat solution, KapChat, stopped working today after Twitch rolled out their new API. This one works beautifully as a replacement. THANK YOU (and MrBoost) SO MUCH.

This will only do one at a time but you can look into Restream Chat as that does multiple. You can get a very similar effect with it and it’s really customisable. I haven’t had time these days to make new vids as I would have deffo made one for Restream :)

Thank you ☺️ I think it’s currently limited to the fonts you see but if you drop MrBoost a msg with a suggestion to allow a field for custom fonts within StreamElements he may look to add it to a future update :)

Thank you! I made it ☺️ And all directly in OBS. I’ve made other vids covering pretty much every asset I used to make the overlay, layering blur effects from StreamFX plug-in and animated borders. It’s a simple process, just lots of layers.

this is a great widget but for some reason it introduces a small 'squeak' to announce each message as it appears - is there a way to turn this off? it's pretty annoying lol

@@outshinedkg it never did that for me!! How strange. I feel there must be an audio file linked to it in one of the options that you could change or likely mute. You can also mute individual sources in OBS and mute this I think. Alternatively take a look at Restream Chat. I moved to this about a year ago as it allows horizontal chat from combined channels such as twitch and KZbin together

I think something like that could be achieved using the scrolling text effect in OBS and you would need to pull the info into a text file for it to pick up. My good friend Andilippi did a tutorial showing how to get recent events to show on stream so would just need to combine this into scrolling text and I think you would be there. I was sent the link by a friend to make the video so wasn’t really able to show it in that way, as I do usually go through the downloading process when it’s available. If you disable "show nickname every msg" the timer for disappear stop working

Hey. I would think this is by design as when you use the disappear feature it’s clears the chat, so it would’t be able to link nicknames to the previous message.

Hiya. Did you try using the 'Send Test Message' so you get a sample text to pop over? I thought this broken for me at first as I had set messages for myself and my bots not to show in the display, so when I tried to test it nothing showed. I use Chrome too so that shouldn't be a problem.

@@BeckiLea Hey thanks for your reply BeckiLea! I figured out how to do it on my end (and learn something new in the process!) which was open up the properties of the browser source and under Width and Height there are two checkboxes.. the 2nd checkbox is called "Control Audio via OBS" and that brings up that browser source in the Audio Mixer where I could adjust it/mute it! HAPPY DAYS!!!!

I think the default Nutty font is an all caps one so toggle this off and pick a different one :)

You could try adding it via StreamElements and copying over to your Facebook profile on SE but it's not something I've tested. It was made specifically to integrate with Twitch Chat - there may be a Facebook version but as I don't stream there it's not something I've seen unfortunately.
