That hole at 10:19 or thereabouts could house a rattler, or a scorpion which is why for precaution we always put in some flaming grass and twigs. That detector is great. I've had my GPZ700 since it came out and a couple of replacement coils later, paid itself back and is still going strong. Good vid!

Ive had a fisher cz3d about 25 years now, my favorite metal detector i own f a half dozen, great Treasure Hunter! I find paystreaks, Chris, a scoop of fine gold connected from washing into an area. I put that scoop into a bucket & move on to pan it at home. Sure beats diging 6 feet holes with a drywasher!

If I see a spider, I try to catch and release outside. You wouldn't catch me dead walking into a mine in Australia w/ 1,000,000 or so spiders though, Chris!! :D All that iron you picked, now I know where it all went, cuz you've got cajones of steel amigo!! hehehe I hope you and Gadzy and Mick can work some of these old mines sometime. If you're pulling specimens like that out of their waste piles, there's probably a profitable business awaiting you guys. I know you do this as a hobby, but it'd be great to see you guys able to do it full-time, and of course share the videos with us so we can watch your efforts and progress!

Hey Chris, did you ever think of pumping the water out of the old mines to run a sluice? Looks like there ought to be enough to give it a good try. All you would need is a longer intake hose. However, you pump may not be big enough for the job! This is just a thought my friends and I had.

Here in Gold Country California it's getting about just as hard to find good gold as well. But... occasionally hard work pays off. One time I cut my thumb while I was picking from a wall full of quartz. Week later I was told by the doctor that had to drain the infection that I had a "Felon of the Right Thumb" !! I don't wish that pain on anyone!! Not exactly sure what caused my "Felon" but ... Wear gloves when ever possible.

ok this might sound stupid but would peeing on/in the little spot would that help see/get to the gold or would any iron in your pee miss up the metal detectors? 1. of course after peeing dont put any gold in your mouth. 1.5. the pee would wash away the dirt and clay. 2, always metal detector the stone/rock wall old timers make i know so many people who've gotten gold out of them 2-3 gold nuggets out of a six foot section. at 12:18
@MadMarlin19642 жыл бұрын
Now this would make for an interesting video. I don’t think Chris or Gadzee, have enough pee, not to mention stream pressure, to clean all the rocks they dig. Que the Benny Hill Theme.
