I come back and watch this video every other day because it's the only video you can find on the old school warhammer dwarf troll slayers I love it. I just got back into warhammer and wanted to get the whole slayer army and all the old warhammer dwarf models I just ordered a big lot of them for very cheap these guys are super expensive now so I lucked out. Love this video man Please Please make more and keep making more ill support you in any way I can love you bro keep doing what your doing ❤️!!

Don't worry my friend, Dwarfs are my main army and I collected a whole bunch of their units, from metal longbeards, to ironbreakers and fancy characters like the anvil of doom, the white dwarf or Thorgrim Grudgebearer. I want to make a tutorial for every Unit and Character I posses, but that's easier said then done since it's a lot of work and my time is limited. My last Murloc Diorama was an surprising success and I think I will stay in the world of 3d printed minis for a little longer. If there was a dwarf unit you would like to paint next month, which would that be and what would you like to see in a tutorial/video about dwarfs? Thanks again for your support my friend =)

I’ve got 28 slayer models coming I need to do this with, including the command group. And 5 Doomseekers.

Loved it, well done! I'm currently painting some slayers from Avatars of War. They make a really nice plastic "Doom Seekers" kit.

@Blake C Thank you for the kind words, that was my first video ever so I hope it was still kind of watchable :D Are you collecting/painting the old fantasy dwarfs too?
@blakec19243 жыл бұрын
@@MiniQuest64 I dabble in a little bit of everything, as I have a few Fyreslayers, but a lot more of the Kharadron faction and Ogors. The video was also totally watchable!

@Blake C Great to hear! I could never get into the newer aos dwarfs, the sculpts are nice but the whole artillery was missing and the slayers felt awesome back then because they were a tiny group in an army and not an army itself. Like the scene with the simpsons, where he arranged tough guys with not so tough guys to make the tough guys look tougher :D The idea of the Kharadrons is cool tough!

Good work! I'm not sure if I'm more terrified you paint metalics over white, or amazed by the fact you managed it to look really good! Awesome paint job.

@Sebastian Fyda Thanks man, appreciate it a lot, especially since it was my first video :) Regarding the white primer, I've never had a problem with the citadel one and painting metallic on top. Is that something to avoid and if so, why?
@sebastianfyda33093 жыл бұрын
@@MiniQuest64 usually metallics with thin layer had and issue of not covering any "overpaints" and repainting with white first is kinda annoying. Also metallics tend to look dull on white surface, lacking the depth. My standard approach was to paint all metal parts black first then paint silver or gold and proceed with washing, brushing and highlighting as usual. However, it looks decent in your hands. Also I tip I like to use - black undercoat (very thin layer, fixed with brush as normal) then thin undercoat of white - just a mist to get elevated and large surfaces lighter. This way I can get bright colors on my Empire/Elves minis and get natural shadows in recess areas. This also comes handy when painting cold ones with light bellies and dark scaly skin.

@Sebastian Fyda Wow I didn't know that, thank you for the detailed explanation and tips! Will definitely keep an eye out the next time I paint with metallic!

Just curious, what brush sizes do you use for the different parts? And do you varnish the minis? I’m loving these videos!
@MiniQuest64 Жыл бұрын
I would advise using the following brush sizes: 00 - For painting eyes and very fine details that only need a single touch, since that brush can't hold much paint/water and dries quickly 0 - Very fine layers, for example the final and brightest highlights 1 - The standard Brush size that you should use all the time. Holds a lot of paint while being still small enough for details 2 - "Big" Brush for rough base coating or very big areas I don't varnish my minis because it kinda destroys the paint jobs AND I don't actually play Warhammer (yet). That might change once the old world gets back =) I would advise varnishing metal minis (matte), since they get damaged easily but make a test model before ruining a whole range of minis!
