Al Jourgensen is an artist, and a genius. Ministry was/is/will so damn good because it was/is so different compared to any other band I have ever heard.

Isn't it interesting how he wasn't even making the freaking album? He was just bullish****** in the studio. Artistry at work when you're not really working. Lol.

I've NEVER been a fan of metal, but I've been a huge fan of Ministry for 30 years now. One of a kind.

Al Jourgensen is a mix master and he loves the studio. He says, "If I die, I want it to be at the mixing board. So, If I am found dead somewhere else, I want somebody to put me in front of the board, so that is where I am found, Mixing!" I love interviews with Al, he is so smart and is a great frontman, he is wild and crazy but he has his head on straight and is so smart! Funny, oh he always makes me happy and we laugh so much!! SMM is a master piece!!!

Al kills me. He started promoting this Album in Australia before they even got back to the U.S. & started it. I think he does it on purpose. You never can tell when he is being serious or if he is just entertaining himself at the expense of who ever is interviewing him. He said that when they made this album that they didn't want a bunch of people hanging out & making it a goat fuck- like they have always done before, with all his buddies coming over & turning every night into a substance fueled melee, which makes the production process drag out over 6 months or longer with all the drinking and debauchery that Al is well known for. I specifically narrow it down to alcohol, since Al has finally put the hard drugs down & he mainly sticks to beer or cheap bottles of red wine. (I remember when they would play live & on all the stage equipment there would be bottles of Johnny Walker & Glenlivit etc..) it looked like a bar infused stage set up & Al would wander from stage right to left during the sets & whenever he could, he would grab whatever bottle was near him & just slug it down. It would make my liver cringe every time, but it had very little effect on him, because of his hi tolerance. This wouldn't be anything to be proud of, but Al & Mike Saccia were hanging out with the Pantera guys & they had a reputation for being a heavy drinking type of band. I guess, the drinking between them got competitive & Pantera, (I imagine Dime-bag, Rex, Phil & maybe Vinnie, but he usually was the designated sober one of the band to probably watch over his totally wasted bandmates, especially since one of them was his brother). However, The Pantera guys were puking & fucked up beyond reckoning. It wasn't really a fair competition. Al & Mikey were older & had been Alcoholics for years before that incident. Al Jorgensen- I can't believe he still is alive. One of my old drinking Buddies died back in 2015 & he was 39 or 40. It was the Vodka that killed him. Alcohol is a really bad drug. Once he got pancreatitis it was like a Death Sentence. If it wasn't for this supposed "War on Drugs" which is really a "War on American Citizens who suffer from a Disease called Addiction." This dude would still be alive because: if the pursuit of happiness and liberty for all was true- heroin would be legal and it would be cheap. That was his drug of choice. He switched to alcohol because he couldn't afford the over inflated price of heroin. It is so expensive because of this stupid war on drugs which the People pay for. They pay for the hi taxes to feed The Prison Industrial Complex & they pay for the crime the outrageous prices the drugs demand. The only winners in this lost War are the drug cartels & the political & law enforcement cartels That don't want to win this absurd war because if they did. 60% of these parasites would be out of a job. Yes, 60% of all the people locked up in cages are there because of the war on drugs. Thus 60% of law enforcement is being paid hi wages & good benefits because of the war on drugs & if it was a War on Drugs then The U.S. Law Enforcement got their asses kicked. The D.E.A. sullenly admits that they intercept 1 out of 10 shipments of illegal Contraband that comes into the Country. The U.S. has more of it's own Citizens either in jail or Prison than any other Country in the World! & They teach the children of this corrupted politically controlled police state of a country that America is The Land of the Free! This is a blatant lie. Numerically and per capita America has more of it's own Citizens locked up in cages & the majority are the true victims in this disgusting situation. The Addicts who were born with a cursed genetic code that makes them pre-disposed to become addicted to drugs, which includes Alcohol which is a systemic poison that destructively effects every thing in the human body, accept for hair & finger & toe nails. Alcohol- a drug that leads to violent behavior in many people who use it to excess. Every year thousands of people are killed in Drunk Driving and violent incidents. Every year thousands of women & children are sexually assaulted by assailants under the influence of Alcohol. Every year Billions of dollars of property are destroyed by drunken people running amok in our society, but all of this is just fine. It's legal to get totally inebriated on this toxic chemical. WTF! It is a medical fact that heroin, (which is a German word that does not translate into English), named by The German Bayer Pharmaceutical Company is really a type of morphine, & if the product is pure. It is less harmful to the human body than alcohol. (Deso-Morphine) is what heroin really is. The Government doesn't want to refer to it by it's real name because Deso-Morphine doesn't sound as menacing as "Heroin." A German Brand Name that was contrived at the turn of the last Century, for the love of God. I also can't stand the mis-use of the word: Narcotic(s). Ever heard of Narcolepsy? It's a Sleep Disorder. Notice the root word- Narc. It refers to that which has to do with sleep. Narcotics were the Legal word that was used for Opiates in the early 1920s. The Government -either in it's ignorance, or by deception used that word: Narcotics, like the Government purposely mis-uses the word heroin. Calling a Stimulant like Methamphetamine or Cocain a Narcotic is an Oxymoron. And There You Go Folks. We All Suffer under the yoke of: either a Corrupt or incompetent Government. America The Land of a Retarded Corrupt Government that has gotten our country so far into debt by it's irresponsible handling of the People's Money that at 18+ Trillion Dollars, (it may be more, i don't check anymore because it is so foreboding.) That if every American gave all the money they had, it still wouldn't be enough to pay off this hopeless debt, which will lead to The Greatest Depression ever! I hope you found this informative. I have been to Amsterdam before & the Law Enforcement there is tolerant to drug use. They believe in personal freedom. They don't have any drug epidemic in The Netherlands. I think this is because people are free to waste their lives. In America the Government tries very Poorly to make that choice for us & any child will tell you that when an authority figure over steps it's bounds that the individuals' instinct is to rebel. I can't wait till these old fucking bastards that have made being a supposed public servant -a life time career & have the power to give themselves undeserved pay raises & lengthy & far too often vacations. It was never Meant to be like this. They are Tyrants. Term limits must be set. This Country will fall if these Beaurocrates are allowed to keep ruining OUR Country- that they think is thiers' to plunder.

The riddle why music all sounds the same : because the world is changing so fast , people are scared and confused , and the same sound is a safe constant . In the 60's ... the world stayed the same , and was boring , so different music was a welcome change .

Edward Benes no it's because big money doesn't like to take risks with stuff that hasn't already proven itself to sell. Same with movies and tv shows. There are exceptions of course.

Funny during all my drug use in my band hog scraper I also tried meth once and I hated it,... never touched it again. Why some dumb son-of-a-bitch would want to be awake for 5 days in a row is a mystery to me. Drugs are supposed to help you escape from the world, not force you to be stuck in it.

It was because Al had to tour with them, very early in their career, when ministry first label pressure them into being a synth pop band. According to Al, those bands would stay on their bus and not interact with ministry
