Love the footage of al in his prime, my uncle got me into them back in early 90s, it's like reliving my child/teen years lol.

Sounds like a drill that's been processed and clipped short. My guess is distortion, compression, eq and maybe a little phasing.

So sad to see al turned out this way, but I guess heroin is and was probably the strongest father figure in his life. By the way, Milli Vanilli have nothing on al's ability to lip sync.

I think 19disease85 is talking about the footage of William Burroughs, that is shown in the Just One Fix video
@19disease8512 жыл бұрын
I bet the footage was filmed by Peter Christopherson of Coil, as he also directed the Ministry video for "Just one fix".

Burroughs was the "Man"... Naked Lunch and Junkie (both of which were banned for awhile) anyway, he pushed the envelope along w/ influencing other Beat writer's, which influenced the 60's counter culture. Along w/ Leary "Turn on Tune in and Drop out"... drop LSD 25. I had the honor of tripping w/ Tim once. A trip I'll never forget, "question authority".

Junkie was never banned per se, just suppressed.

This video is frightening to me and it's supposed to be right? I may not be the biggest fan of Timothy Leary but I do respect that Al always showed him a lot of love...I am a fan of Bill Burroughs and I like his gun totin' ways...never trust a junkie tho haha

He was a CIA asset,and promoted degeneracy. Rational,unbrainwashed minds don’t read an unreadable book and come out going “wow,that’s a great piece of literature.” And now now Al loves his dad,but Al is still doing what the lodge tells him.
@JohnBock-nq9lr4 ай бұрын
He was an early iconoclastic writer and artist that subverted traditional writing and developed a more streak of consciousness style akin to Joyce in Ulysses. His outlaw persona was attractive to rock musicians....he was also a drug addict and ephebophile.

And OHH YEAHH LEARY of allllll people “what are we going to do about al he has sooo much potential, ..and he’s just killing himself” al takes two years off Tim “come stay with me and inject my new drug cocktails I developed and let me study you!” Al “yeah okay” Was not until the record company said enough you have to come back did he leave

What's the difference? Drinking liquids is a natural thing and injecting chemicals into your bloodstream isn't lol. Don't get me wrong I'm an ex drug addict myself and I was never big on drinking the question is nonsense. Also both things can give you different types of hepatitis but you have to drink for years and years to get hepatitis from drinking. To get it from shooting you only have to do it once lol

You can eat opium and smoke it. You can inject alcohol. The issue is opiates versus ethanol. A UK study published in the Lancet found that heroin and alcohol are about equally harmful, when considering harm to the user and harm to society. Alcohol is legal because it's traditional, profitable and easy to make, not because it's a liquid you can drink.
