On the magnets, theres a small groove on the metal keeper, thats where you can attatch the spring so theres no pressure on the magnets when you slide it on the armature. Then once you get it started you can ust a small screwdriver to re engage the magnets instead of fighting with them

Im thinking I’ll be able to start back with some on the water videos really soon. I’m working on getting the new boat set up right now. I’ll definitely have more time to work on videos now that I’m not spending all my time on the house.

Brief suggestion from the archives: when you install brush springs, leave them "locked and loaded" on the outside of the holders, but not in place. Then, as the armature passes the brush on each side, use your pick to slide it into place. That procedure came from your great grandpa when I was about 12 years old. No telling how many cuss words it saved me over all these years 😂

I had a wedding ring similar to that in hard metal. Scratched up every item I had. Looks like yours (his) may be a brass amalgamation.

He is working the Effective Palm Hammer, watch the Value Shops for wooden mallet, rubber mallet, plastic mallet, various hammers of different density and blow. They are called "Soft Blow hammer". Very useful.

I speak because I once used the "palm blow hammer" until I was injured, after being injured. This was during a live in renovation. Endless hard work until you succeed or die. I used my wrist brace as a hammer** ... To date, no regrets. GO BIG OR GO HOME.

Great video what was the orientation of the fwd and aft shaft seal?
@haydennewberryfishing5 ай бұрын
I really can’t say I know for sure. I just watched how the old ones were in when I removed them and copied that with the new ones. I do remember there is a cardboard ring that was in between them that there is an opening for on each one. Idk if that helps but that all I can remember about the orientation.

If you look in the video at 10:35 I start talking about the shaft seals.
