I'm just glad Cam Robinson fought his way back from his ankle injury. Every O Line injury takes away a fraction of the protection for Darnold to do his progressions. He got sacked five times Sunday. It might have been worse if Quesenberry were in there at LT. Darnold took a beating, but kept fighting. Bravo.

KOC and Flores are running very different game plans from the first three games of the season. Is it possible that KOC and Flores are holding back from what they were doing in the beginning of the season? That they're saving their magic brew method for a playoff run, to keep the rest of the NFL from analyzing them and figuring them out?
@justincase3108Күн бұрын
I had this thought too. I suspect it is wishful thinking…. But maybe! That would be awesome to be able to throttle back purposely, and then hit the gas in the playoffs - wow! So I just can’t imagine that is realistic…. Unfortunately, I suspect they are trying to win the game all out every minute or every game.

Agreed. One big factor is the environment he creates, many players would choose that over getting a tad bit more money on another team.

Just catching up on Andy's vids. I want to add that KOC's record MUST be viewed in context of the dire situation at QB last year. Just imagine what his record would be if Cousins hadn't torn his Achilles tendon! & missed 2/3 of the season! ( Let's remember that Cousins was playing extremely well before the injury.) Also, regarding Adam Thielen: I have said for several years that he could be a MAJOR contributor for the Vikes as their #3 WR/Slotback, especially in the Red Zone and when the Vikes are dealing with 3rd/4th down & long. I continue to stand by that belief.

A Vikings fan for 60+ years, and I live and die with the Vikes every Sunday. But I found no joy in yesterday's win. The Cardinals, barely a .500 team, had 47 more yards passing, 86 more rushing, 133 more in total offence, almost 12 minutes more possession time, "outsacked" 5 to 1, they had one receiver who caught 12 for 12 passes, and the first half was an embarrassing disaster. No question that Darnold has done some amazing things near the end of a few of our games, especially yesterday, but what about the other 3 quarters of our games. And our heralded defence needs to stop allowing opposing QBs to complete 90% of their passes. When the playoffs come around, we simply won't beat really good teams with this kind of inconsistent performance. SKOL Vikings!

Dude I live for games like this. I’d rather watch a game like this than a blowout. Winning reg season games by 40 points doesn’t guarantee you’re a good team. Miami put up 70 on the Broncos 2 years ago and left the playoffs early.

How many times have we lost when we should have won? The Cardinals gave the game away. I’m delighted that in a rebuild year we are 10-2. Even if we are one and done in the playoffs we have a solid foundation from ownership to GM and coaches. Being upset that we won a losable game is sad.

The 'award' Sam will get is even better.. he'll get 30m a season from someone. We should franchise tag him and probably play him 'til the wins slow. Vikes fans are the worst, they always want someone else to play QB. Folks 10-2 is something JJ is not doing anytime soon. He'll play eventually, but you ride high as long as you can. You can't go 20-2. You guys wanted more Teddy and more Case too. Thank goodness ownership and GMs don't watch fan polls. Guess what, his teammates like him. Option 1a is the franchise and trade. JJ plays when ready with D. Jones maybe starting the year. I don't think that goes as well but we'll see.

I dont know whose better to be. A team that blows everyone out during the regular season than bring that to the playoff or be in close games all reg season and build that grit to be ready for the playoffs.
@justincase3108Күн бұрын
Definitely building grit. But they also need the confidence they can turn it on and blow the doors off when needed. Might need to see that somewhere or a couples more times in the regular season yet 🤔

72% of all games, not 72% of all wins. I think he was including 8 pt games which I wouldn't. The NFL has a lot of games decided by 8 pts or less. More stats: Of the Vikings 30 WINS since 2022, 10 wins or 33% were decided by 3 pts or less, 19 wins or 63% were decided by 7 pts or less* and 11 games or 37% were won by 8pts or more Of the 46 TOTAL GAMES PLAYED, 28 games or 61% have been decided by 7 pts or less, win or lose. In those games O'Connell has a seasonal record of 9/9, 4/12, and 6/7* winning 19/28 or 68% of games decided by 7 pts or less. *Includes games decided by 3 pts or less *Season not complete
