MINOXIDIL - DOES IT WORK FOR HAIR LOSS??

Hair loss is a natural daily phenomenon, but this shedding of hair cannot be the main cause of hair loss. A loss of 100 hair per day can be considered ‘normal’ not pathologic. But a loss of more than 100 hair per day is worrisome. This unwanted hair loss (Alopecia) is a clinical condition that develops when degenerative processes outpace hair regeneration.
The only FDA (Food & Drug Administration) approved pharma drugs for the treatment of alopecia are: 5‑alpha‑reductase type 2 inhibitor Finasteride (Propecia), and Minoxidil. These medications, which differ in mechanism of action and route of administration, are given as monotherapy or as combination therapy.
These drugs often are prescribed for patients undergoing hair-restoration surgery to reduce the amount of transplanted hair required to meet the patient’s objectives and to help the patient maintain a relatively consistent and natural appearance. Although minoxidil and finasteride both retard or stop hair loss and stimulate some hair regrowth, neither medication restores all lost hair or reverses complete baldness.

I'm on Finasteride and have been using Minoxidil 5percent since April, on the recommendation by my dermatologist. Initially, Minoxidil increased my hairfall, but with time, it helped in reducing my hairfall and with Finasteride it yielded amazing results for me. One more thing, I wash my hair once a week with a Ketoconazole shampoo and keep short hair.

you cant apply minoxidil like that.. the minimum does is once every day, you can skip a few days for emergency situations but minoxidil is a long term medication it will have no effect if you use it sparsly also the effects take minimum 4 months to show. minoxidil and finasteride work best for male pattern baldness i wouldn't recommend them for seasonal shed

Tum finastride, minoxidil aur 1.5mm derma rolling start kardo. Ketaconazole 2%. Usme hi apka bahut regrowth ho jayega. Dr se blood work karwa lo. Free Dht, total dht levels Estrodial levels Shbg Dekh lena. Finastride ki adhi goli lena intially taki body ko adal lage fir 1mg. Don't waste time you look like someone who can still get his hair back

Hi Akshay bhai, I am 22 year old and I was having severe hairfall. Skin specialist prescribed me finesteride tablets, minoxidil, B12 injections because I was having high DHT and Low B12. He told me to use minoxidil for 1 month. I am getting results but just wanted to know after 1 month will my fairloss stop as it happened due to temporarily lower B12 and Higher DHT level? or it will continue

I have same situation and it is temporary...just use fin and min as prescribed and then switch to rosemary oil for few months after....this trick will help you to keep the hair growth stable...and then once you are healthy you wont need fin and min
