As a Miraculous fan, I want to say... *I AM SO ABSOLUTELY SORRY THAT YOU HAD TO SIT THROUGH THESE EPISODES.* From my knowledge, the general consensus for the show is that Seasons 1 & 2 are actually pretty good. Then it fucking face plants down the rockiest mountain you can think of for Seasons 3 & 4. Then it starts slowly climbing back up the mountain in Season 5. ( *IF YOU WATCH SEASON 5 IN ORDER* )

7:44 Real talk, Hawk Moth is incredibly overpowered and could easily accomplish his plans if he wasn’t so fucking stupid. Not only can he use multiple akumas at once and akumatize himself, but there’s no established limit as to what powers he can give people as long as it fits with the desire of the akumatized person. In one episode, he created a supervillain that could trap and neutralize all the kwamis, which are supposed to be deities with limitless power that are immune to anything physical. He can break the few rules the magic system has. If he used his powers intelligently, he would akumatize himself, and since his desire is to get the miraculous jewelry, he could give himself the power to attract them like magnets or duplicate them or teleport them to his hand. Hell, he doesn’t even need the earrings and the ring; with his powers, he could revive his wife, which is his main goal. But instead, he dedicates his life to clearly useless attempts to take the jewelry by force. God, I hate this show so much.

They made his powers too overpowered for its own good. Tbh I think he’s powers are literally written for manipulative tactics. So what I’d do if I was the writers is get rid of the rule that he can akumatise himself(dunno why they’d add that). Then I’d have a legitimate excuse for the shenanigans in the city. Then instead of him sitting in that room I’d have him directly manipulating every potential catalyst for his akumas. Literally everyone in the city is an asset for him. His sitting on a throne yet not using his authority. That’s a way for a villain to use his power’s intelligently and make consistent sense with the plot. They made an interesting power but the writers don’t use it to its fullest capabilities.
