Miss Venezuela that year was a stunner! She reminded me of Apollonia Kotero (Prince's co-star in 1984's Purple Rain). Barbara's particular beauty was so fashionable in the mid-80s: big black hair, big black eyes and eyebrows, white skin... look at Miss World from 1984, also from Venezuela: both had the same beauty type.

Yo casi ya no veo o en realidad no veo los concursos de bellezas como cuando era niña, pero tengo bellos recuerdos de el concurso de ese año, ademas de que Barbara era nuestra candidata favorita.
